Review of FACIAL RECOGNITION
As
Okokpujie, et al. (2017) described that for the attendance, the current
biometric methods are too invasive. A stress-free intrusive way of calling attendance
is presented by this study, which is telling the attendance can be taken by the
use of the faces by using facial recognition. The novelty has been added by
this system to handheld the devices with the help of any kind of available
cellular network by relying on the vital knowledge of the attendance of the
class. The camera is used in the facial recognition system to capture the
facial images during the enrollment on this system, which was made into the template
by using and implementing the algorithm of the fisher faces. There are three
kinds of templates that were stored in the database. Within the pre-set
threshold, the use of the fisher linear discrimination compared the stored
picture templates for any match as well as it is also extracted by the facial
features from the captured images of the faces during the taking attendance or
verification.
Furthermore,
to designated handheld devices, by using the cellular network sent the collated
attendance reports through the use of the information. The accuracy around
54.17 % at the time of the verification was owned by the designed as well as
the implemented system when it varied the lighting without any kind of variation
during the enrolment as well as the facial expression. The proposed system had an
accuracy rate of around 70.83% at the time of the verification of the system
whenever the facial expressions were also diverse related to the other kind of
variation within the conditions of lighting at the time of enrolment (Okokpujie,
et al. 2017).
As
stated by Jha (2007), the identity of the person is his or her face. Everyone
in this world cannot recognize any person without seeing the faces, so it is
very important organ of the human body. A great change has been seen by some
kind of method for exploiting such kinds of physical features since the
beginning of the techniques of image processing. The sole aim is the very
accurate recognition of any person by using the facial recognition system as
well as such kind of identification may be utilized to process the recognition
further. To identify a face, the traditional technique of the facial
recognition systems service techniques from provided input while the outcome is
not generally precise as well as not generally accurate as demanded. Furthermore,
the facial recognition system which is stated by Jha (2007) in this study,
completely focuses for the deviation from the typical systems as well as it
also presents a new methodology for the identification of the student by using
the face recognition system such as the generation of 3D model of the faces. The
study states the working of the face recognition system, which must be deployed
as an attendance system in the environment of the classroom. The automated
attendance system should be installed in the classrooms for smartly taking the
attendance of the students (Jha 2007).
As
described by the Kar, et al. (2012), the significant problems in the control
system are the authentication within the communication based on the computer. The
facial recognition of the human is a significant part of the verification via
biometric the system as well as it also has been extensively utilized within several
applications like the network security, door control system, video monitor
system as well as the human-computer interaction. The study is also presenting a
significant approach for the attendance system of the student that will combine
along with the technology of facial recognition through the usage of the
algorithm of personal component analysis. Moreover, the proposed system will
also record the attendance of the students within the environment of the classroom
automatically as well as the facilities will be provided by this system for
accessing the information of the students easily to the faculty of the school
through maintaining the logs for the clock out time as well as the clock in
time.
Furthermore,
the improved performance is showed by the outcomes of the preliminary
experiment within making an approximation of the attendance as compared to
white attendance system as well as the black attendance systems traditionally. From
the frames of the images or the videos, the existing work on the facial
recognition attendance system is aimed at the algorithms of facial recognition (Kar, et al. 2012).
