be the FIFA World Cup 22nd edition, which will be held in Qatar. If
all goes along with the schedule, then it would mark Qatar as the first country
in Arab regions to be the host of this world’s big sports event.

will be the first Muslim-majority country across the world to host one of the
biggest sports events. The country has appeared to be quite proud of this since
it would definitely increase the reputation of the country itself, besides the
profit in the context of tourism will be gained by Qatar. In contrast, there
are some issues related to the decision made by FIFA to assigned Qatar as the
host country in 2022. In fact, some complaints of corruption have been
presented to conclude how Qatar could win the privilege to host this big event.
Even though an internal investigation along with the report has clearly
suggested that Qatar has not done any wrongdoing in this matter, but still,
Sepp Blatter as the previous President of FIFA, has mentioned that Qatar has created
in the process of hosting rights (Rt.com, 2018).
Another
criticism also has appeared regarding how Qatar has been mistreating its
foreign workers who take part in the World Cup preparation. However, all these
issues might occur from the people who eventually unhappy with the decision
made by FIFA to choose Qatar as the host country for the World Cup 2022. Hence,
the country will make sure to provide the best as the host of this big
spectacular sports event.
