In the Sultanate of Oman, the Oman College of Health Sciences is an educational institution that offers education to students. Additionally, it provides them with various courses related to health sciences. It has been determined that the main issue faced by the institution job dissatisfaction among the staff and other workers within the institution. In accordance with the SWOT and fishbone analysis, some of the strengths of this institute include independence of management and clarity of future objectives. SWOT analysis is quite a useful technique is determining the strengths, threats, weaknesses, and opportunities which an organization or institution is facing. In addition to it, fishbone analysis has also been conducted for determining the root causes of job dissatisfaction among the staff or employees within the institute. It has revealed that the working environment within the institute is not stable or comfortable for the employees due to which they are satisfied. In order to understand the implications and effects of job dissatisfaction among the employees, literature review has been conducted and different studies have been considered for finding the information. It has been determined through the literature review that job dissatisfaction is capable of adversely influencing job performance and efficiency. In addition to it, there are some other weaknesses as well and the root causes of job dissatisfaction have been determined to include discrimination among staff, lack of employee motivation, insufficient employee involvement in the decision-making process and policy development, lack of career development and training programs to the staff, and lack of good working environment. Although there are some opportunities which can be utilized by the institution, financial allocations are raised by them. For instance, one of the opportunities include expanding the business and due to it, financial investment is required. In this paper, action plan has been developed for identifying the appropriate steps to be taken which are capable of resolving the issue faced by the firm. It includes all the steps which should be considered by the institute for ensuring that employees or staff is satisfied with the current policies.
