1.      Power Distance (PDI) of SAUDI ARABIA Cultural differences and diversity

Power distance (PDI) is a cultural dimension that deals with power inequality issues in society. Power distance (PDI) represents the cultural attitude of a country or a community towards the identified inequalities. Through, this dimension we can define at which extent less powerful citizens and people of a community or country accept and expect that power delegated among them unequally. Power distance score for Saudi Arabia is around 95 which is higher than the power distance scores 40 of the United States. See the presented below graph for scores of power distance projected by Invalid source specified..

Comparative analysis shows that people living in Saudi Arabia perceive that power is distributed in the community unequally. Hierarchical orders are commonly accepted in Saudi Arabian organizations. Citizens assume that hierarchical order is reflected centralization of power and inherent inequalities. While on the other hand, scores of power distance cultural dimension for the United States shows that people are against inequality of power. Furthermore, they are concerned with equality practices in organizations and society. Conclusively, as a result of these practices power distance and inequalities are controlled in the country. Workplace acts and other regulations are supporting the reduction in the power-based inequalities. Culture supports the idea that individuals are equal in the community.

2.      Long Term Orientation (LTO) of SAUDI ARABIA Cultural differences and diversity

Long term orientation (LTO) is opposite to short term orientation (STO). Communities and countries can be focused on Long term orientation (LTO) or Short term orientation (STO). As a Hofstede cultural dimension, Long term orientation (LTO) represents the willingness of a community or a country to sacrifice its short term social success and emotional gratifications while having an aim to ensure long term benefits and advantages in future. Countries having a strong vision and sustainable goals pay attention to Long term orientation (LTO) rather than short term orientation (STO). According to Hofstede scores, Long term orientation (LTO) score for Saudi Arabia is 36 while 26 is the Long term orientation (LTO) dimension score for the United States. The total difference between the scores of both countries is around 10. See the presented below graph:

Comparative analysis indicates that Saudi Arabia is more focused on the long term future as compared to the United States. US scores for Long term orientation (LTO) dimension is a low score which indicates that US culture is normative culture as compared to Saudi Arabia. According to the analysis, US culture is relatively more practical. People of the US are having a can-do mentality. Therefore, they always seek opportunities to introduce innovative practices for continuous improvement in culture. However, the culture of Saudi Arabia is also normative. People are focused on normative thinking but still, they are also focused on long term benefits and advantages in future.

Recommendations of SAUDI ARABIA Cultural differences and diversity

Everyone has certain features and the qualities. It cannot be compared with anyone.  Based on these skills and the expertise everyone is provided with certain authorities. Everyone is required to evaluate the specified skills and the expertise they are provided with. The more the skills are recognized the better these can be used. The higher authorities should include the subordinates in the process of the decision making. in this way the better decisions can be carried out for the whole nation. Also, it is required to consider that no one should be devalued. Rather everyone should be shown the respect in certain concerns of the life. This is how the trading terms and the conditions can be streamlined between different cultures and the countries. It will help to boost the overall economy of the country.  The more loyal the people are with each other the better it is to have the dealings with the other countries. This is how the trade and the dealings between the countries can better be determined and carried out. It can thus help to increase the trade between different countries.
