ADRA South Pacific
ADRA SPD is
working according to the policies of the ADRA Australia since November 2004,
the operation functions of the ADRA is linked with the head office to support the
leadership of the operation in the regional office. In May 2007, the ADRA SPD
is setting to different designs of rules which will be followed by the regional
office on the basis of ADRA Australia. It is expected that these policies will

Moreover, the ADRA
is aimed towards the needs and the basic opportunities that represent in the today’s
world and they believe that with their strong beliefs and their strong networks
and their ability to mobilize the volunteers and to mobilize the other
important resources that are necessary in the today’s world and to give the justice
to the people who are needy and are suffering and to drive the care and the
love for the people who need it and who are suffering from the society’s change
and the disasters, who are mediocre people and cannot fight for their rights-
basic thing is to bring a positive social change in the World and to change the
behaviors of the pope towards the needy persons and the persons that are
suffering due to some reasons. ADRA aim to restore his ideal, a world that is
free of politics and the racism and poverty and the people will get the equal
rights “A stand for the humanity”.
2. Organization of
Adra South Pacific Organization Encyclopedia:
The organization
of the ADRA was founded in 1956 and the headquarters of the ADRA office was in
the Silver Spring, in the Maryland, the united states of the America. The
development of the ADRA Organization was to remove the poverty form the world. The
people that were responsible for the development of the ADRA organization were
the Ellen G. White and the James Springer White. The main reason of the
development of the ADRA office is to eradicate the poverty and the discrimination
from the World. ADRA then started its partnership with the different organizations
and with different communities and the government as well as to develop the
basic necessities of the life and to eradicate the major problems in the world including
the; Economic Development, Food Security, Basic Education, Primary Health and
the Emergency Management. The ADRA has done commitment with the communities, government
and the organizations that it will serve the humanity without doing any
discrimination depending on the religious, ethnic and the political
association. The priority services and the focus is on the children, the
disable people and the senior citizens of the society.
3. History of ADRA:
In 1956, ADRA was
established as the Seventh Day Adventist Welfare Service. The name of the ADRA
was developed by the two different terms; Adventist Development and Relief
Agency. And this change in the name was underwent in the 1984. The name of the
ADRA was changes frequently in the beginning years of the development.
Firstly, the
organization was aimed to help the persons that are affected from the disasters
and it provide the disaster relief to the person who were suffering from it,
but later on in the mid of the 1970’s the ADRA wanted to broaden their mission
and they had broaden their mission in the context of the long term development
in the communities that are vulnerable to the natural hazards and the
disasters. In the beginning, ADRA has the staff numbered around 600 people. And
with this 600 staff members ADRA has expanded its programs and these programs
include the: To build the health clinics and to provide the healthcare services
in different parts of the Africa, as it was a less developed country and
require more welfare funds from different countries to provide the basic health
care services to the people of the Africa and different health acre departments
are built in different parts of Africa. Then again the directorship changed and

who took the position of the Director in 1990 and remained the director till

International Organization of ADRA, country boards of the ADRA, Executive

It is responsibility of the ADRA
South Pacific Executive Director to report directly to the Chairperson of the
ADRA South Pacific Management Committee. Executive Director, ADRA South Pacific
will be a member of all ADRA Boards
Another open door
exists with a multi month authentication accreditation course in Lifestyle
Disease Management (for therapeutic experts) beginning in the district. The
