               In earlier parts, two cases were discussed; one was relevant to HRM Decision Making in Chevron, and the other was related to Business Analysis of Apple Inc. Both companies were analyzed in a different manner, but the overall purpose of the analysis was the same; to identify relevant strategy and course of action for HR. It means that HRM was kept in context for both the cases. The case of Chevron found that HRM is very important and significant in the process of decision making. So, they developed the HR Analytics Team, which used the people data of the company to make things better for the business strategy. It means that people's data was analyzed and used by the HR Analytics team so that better decisions can be made to achieve organizational objectives. On the other hand, in Apple's case, the STEEPLE analysis was done to look at different external factors, which make an impact on the organization. It was identified that whatever the macro-environmental factors are associated with Apple, all of them make an impact in one way or the other. It means that a company has to look at these factors while deriving its strategy. It was also found that when such factors are well identified, then it is easier for the HRM department to make the relevant strategy to keep things in the right direction.

               The overall situation from both cases is showing the importance of a dedicated HR strategy, which is made to align with the overall situation faced by the organization. For instance, it was evident in the case of Apple after doing the STEEPLE analysis that competitors are getting good competitive advantages through their HR strategy. It means whatever the situation is faced by an organization, if it effectively analyzes the relevant factors, and then asks their HR team to derive the HR strategy accordingly. In the Chevron case, they have developed the HR analytics team, which is helping in the decision-making process. Looking at these two companies, it can be said that if a company is facing any issues in making decisions for a sustainable future strategy, then they will have to adjust their strategy with a lot of thinking and planning. If the strategy is not developed properly, then things can really go wrong, which can have severe consequences for an organization. If a company has found that other companies are adopting new information technologies and using advanced technological types of equipment to make their processes more efficient; whereas this company is handling its process in a traditional manner, and the role of technology is very less. Then they must realize that the future is going to be difficult for them to sustain because other companies will achieve competitive advantages through the use of new technology and technological types of equipment (Colbert, 2017)

               The above-mentioned situation has shown that things are not looking great for the company, because they are lacking in taking initiatives to use new technology and technological equipment, whereas major competitors are using new technology, and they are making their business process more advanced and automated. It has been observed that when new changes are made in the overall business processes, then resistance comes from the employees because they are afraid of such changes due to various reasons. In this situation, the role of HRM becomes critical in so many ways. HRM will determine for the organization that how they will have to deal with future changes in the industry, and how they can adopt new changes to stay competitive (Starner, 2015)

               There can be different HR strategies to deal with such a situation. The first HR strategy is to come up with a job structure, which is more secured as well as it has more rewards & compensation for the employees. The best thing about this strategy is that it helps in keeping the employees happy and satisfied, which means that they are more loyal to the organization. Their satisfaction keeps them motivated to do well in their job. So, when an organization faces a challenge or change, the employees are ready to face the issue, and they give their best to get things out of trouble. The other best HR strategy in such a situation is to provide relevant training and growth opportunities for the employees so that they are ready for the future. It means that if new changes are being made, then the organization gets its employees ready with relevant skills development so that they can handle any kind of future change in strategy. It means that different HR strategies can be adopted by the HR department, which is suitable for the given situation. If a right HR strategy is selected, then things can go in the right direction, and if HR strategy is wrong, then an organization can face several issues in the future (LaMarco, 2019)

               The overall discussion has proved that in any given situation, the role of HRM will always remain extremely critical for long term success. It is found that if a company is dealing with any strategic problem in its business strategy, then first it will have to analyze the situation to identify the real problem, then a viable solution is developed, and this solution cannot be implemented without the help of HRM. For instance, if a company is short of required talent in its certain business unit and it has identified that they need more skilled workers to handle the job. For this purpose, they will have to get in touch with the HR department. The relevant business department will tell their requirements to the HR department, and then the HR department will develop a strategy to deal with the situation. They will look at the requirements as well as the business objectives that the organization wants to achieve. Once the business requirements and objectives will be identified properly, then they will start selective hiring, where people will be hired with the required skills and capabilities. It was also found that if HR strategy is selected according to the needs, then it can come up with great results, but if the strategy was not developed properly, then it will have many loopholes and organization will face issues in meeting its strategic goals and objectives.

               After looking at all the aspects and situations, certain recommendations can be made for an organization to deal with its current situation, like it is lacking the essence of technology and technological equipment. The first recommendation is to adopt the HR strategy, which works on the growth of existing employees with the help of training and development. They should give the required training to employees on how they can acquire new skills to use new technology, which will be implemented in different business units. This HR strategy should be applied immediately. Moreover, it is recommended that the HR department should also do new hiring of IT experts, who will help to determine to require information technology and will also develop a strategy to install new technology. They will handle the whole change process with the organization. These recommendations are important for the organization to deal with the current business situation, as it will be able to get competitive advantages by adopting these recommendations (Kaplan and Norton, 2006)
