Role of HR in Business

Category: Business & Management Paper Type: Academic Writing Reference: APA Words: 424

The Human Resource Management (HR) in my corporation/business has played the significant role in making the Corporation successful. If my business wants to expand its activities or want to diversify its current brands the employees are needed who are going to manage the activities of the business. In short, it can be said that the employees are the one who runs the business. It is important for the business to recruit such employees who possess a certain amount of skills and help the corporation to achieve its desired goal. The recruiting process contains different activities such as posting the ad for job post, short listing the candidates for the interview and final task that is the selection of employees.

In the recruitment of the employees, the HR department plays the key role. The interviewer is the one who analysis the skills and personality of the candidate and then take the decision which candidates are going to be most suitable for the business. After the selection, the Job description is provided to the employees so that they know about their daily responsibilities. The HR department is the one who evaluates the employee performance. It is important to recruit such employees who are already skilled so that the corporation does not have to provide the training. The training increases the cost of the HR activities that is why many organization look for talented and skilled employees.

After the employees are recruited it is the duty of the HR department or business to retain its employee and continuously motivate them to improve their performance. The employees can be motivated by bonus, incentives and work recognition. If the talented employees are not retained in the business than the business cannot perform its new initiatives successfully and ultimately its performance decreases. In short, it is clear that if the employees are going to perform their activities effectively than the business can achieve its set goals such as launching the new product or expanding the business.

The HR department of the organization manages the employees that are why it has the crucial role in making my business successful. If there would be no HR department than employees might face difficulties and ultimately the business will experience the impact. It is important that the employees work with full commitment and their goals remain aligned with the goals of the business and it is done through proper management of the employees (Greene, 2016)
