I have selected two podcasts from
the site named “player.fm”, where a podcast is broadcasted with the title
“Cyber Security Today”. The first selected podcast is talking about privacy issues
with one of the biggest internet giants like Facebook and Google. It is
informed in the podcast that Facebook has updated its privacy checkups for all
users, where they should review their privacy settings to make their accounts
as safe as possible from any external threats. The podcast also gave
information on the Amazon Home Security system that it is going to introduce
two-factor authentication to log in. Firefox has also updated its browser for a
better experience of the users. The podcast also revealed that Google has
removed an android file manager and two photography apps from the play store
because your phone could have been hacked. The second podcast is important in
general, but more specifically for American people, because it is telling the
listeners that on the internet, there are two unprotected databases, which have
some kind of personal information about millions of American people, and
podcast also discusses in brief that how juice-jacking can be avoided by the
users. If I look at the content of both podcasts, they are very informative and
providing some great information on cyber and computer security. It is great to
know about three apps on the Google Play Store, which may have helped hackers
to hack your smartphone. These kinds of podcasts are important for users to
listen to stay updated on a daily basis.
