· Ali is the manager of the firm. He is very responsible and hardworking but his seniors are very strict and they give deadlines to ali many times and he handles all the situations most effectively and he handles all the problems effectively. Once his boss gives him a task and he unable to meet the target due to its problems and his performance was not up to mark. He has to face his seniors and listen to many bad words and aggression. Then he comes back home and in the anxiety, he starts shouting his children and in this situation, he uses the displacement defense mechanism and relief its anxiety on his children and family.

· Saad is a student of high school and his family is facing lots of problems and financial issues. Due to his family problems, saad is facing anxiety many times and his performance also affected. When his teachers and classmates asked him the reason for his poor performance then he uses the denial defense mechanism and refuses to tell anything about his family and its financial crises. This is a common fact that a person falls in anxiety when its environment and family in problem and its routine and working performance also affected due to this reason. So saad also facing the same situation in his school but he uses the defense mechanism and not tell any person anything related to his problem and family issue and tries to sort the problem effectively without telling anyone.

2. Explain one situation in which you think someone you know was using a defense mechanism.

Uncle Aslam is our neighbor and he lives with this family for many years. He is very intelligent and smart and his behavior with everyone is nice and pleasant. He has two children one daughter and one son. He is working in the bank and his performance in the bank is also good. His employees are very happy with his performance and also his behavior. His office collogues are very satisfied with his performance and also believe that he is very honest and loyal with his working criteria. Once his car hit by some naughty boys in the parking lot of banks and they also not admit their mistake while evidence also says that they are real persons who damage the car. In this situation, everyone may get panic but uncle Aslam presents itself a cool mind person he handles the whole situation wisely and punishes the boys through proper police procedures. But he never gives them long punishment and he uses his insurance policy and repairs his car without any additional expense. He normally use the defense mechanism named intellectualization and handle every matter wisely because he understands that with creating panic no one gets better results and solution so he handle the situation wisely and in all difficult and tough situations he takes the action wisely and handle the issue in such a way that he never face too much loss and also any threat to others. He is also very nice with its neighbors and when any problems arise with its neighbors then he finds a better solution without any major issue. So he handles his anxiety situation with better understanding and wisely finds a better solution for every situation and never faces additional loss by utilizing his mind in the correct way and resolve his problems
