We have to make
the report of service leadership because this is the requirement of our school as
this is the assignment in which share the experience of the animal shelter
where I work as a volunteer. I have a different pet in my home and I love to
help them and spend time with them and look after the animal. This is our duty
to spend approximately four to five hours a week and look after the animals. If
you want to go there on a daily basis, this is your personal choice. When I
work there as a volunteer before and after the operation, I clean the equipment
of the operation which is used by the doctor.
Before the
operation, I relaxed the animal because it’s really important for the animal to
be relaxed. And I checked the health as well as the status of the animal. Many students
do service leadership in different places where they want to do. I want to work
on my skills, so I chose the animal shelter. I love to help the animals, so I cooperate
with the animal doctor and the other who are working there as a volunteer. The
other reason of choosing the animal shelter is that I love to spend my time
with animals or pet.
So, with the
increase of academic skill, our school also wants that student to develop
empathy and compassion also built the service leadership. To finish the work together, I cooperate with
doctors and other volunteers. Operation is really a serious matter because it’s
all about living life. Any mistake during operation leads them unhealthy, even
death. As some of my family members is also a veterinary, so my interest
developed from there, that’s why I choose animal shelter to work as a
volunteer. I learnt so much from this shelter.
Consequently, after
some time, I started to operate with the doctor and other volunteers. In the
animal shelter, everyone behaviour with each other is very good the atmosphere
of the shelter is quite peaceful. This is the best time which I spend in the animal
shelter, and this will teach me so much. Everyone is a friend of each other in
this animal shelter, no matter whether you are a volunteer or a doctor or a
student, you have a great relationship with each other there
