In this report, the aim is to build upon
Assessment Task two, the learning contract. Section Two outlined the five
theories in depth used throughout the action plan. These theories consisted of;
Pareto’s
Principle
Coveys'
time management grid
Eisenhower
matrix
Parallel
programming model
Pickle
Jar theory
Following this, in Section Two, a reflection will
be provided of my own experience of each strategy, the pre- and post-test
measure
used and how this all resulted in the achievement of my original aim.
The action plan reflection consisted of:
Step 1: Pareto’s Principle
Step 2: Coveys' time management grid
Step 3:
Eisenhower matrix
Step 4: Parallel programming model
Step 5: Pickle Jar theory
The pre- and post-test methods consisted of
monitoring how I spent my time in both weeks four and ten and reflecting upon
my stress.

Time Management to improve performance
The skill which is used the time effectively
along with the efficiently to ensure the personals along with the working hours
that is the prioritized is the Time management. This means that the accomplishing task by the whilst
of maintains the balance. By your life, when maintaining the time management,
it will ensure the more stress along with the balance’s lifestyles (Tracy, 2014). The time management
skills would make it easy for me to complete my work tasks on time and with
more efficiently because each part of the task is well planned and completed on
time that improves my learning and productivity. Likewise, these skills would
help me to improve the flow of information and work. Therefore, I would say that the measurable aim of this LC/AP is to devise
methods or strategies that can evaluate my current time management skill,
issues. Stress and the time management has no direct correlation which is the
important for the continue banalce, and it has both skills to ensure and
maintain the good stress which is opposite to the bad stress and has no direct
link for the time famine. Then successfullymanaging themanagement skillls which
allows ourseleves to have the free and relax time to allows the opperunity for
address the unexpceted problems. Likewise, these skills would help me to
improve the flow of information and work. Therefore,
I would say that the measurable aim of this LC/AP is to devise methods or
strategies that can evaluate my current time management skill, issues that
affect my time management skill.
Pareto’s
Principle of Time Management to improve
performance
The Economist Vilfredo Pareto gives the name
of Pareto principles, which specifies the 20% of the consequences comes from
the 20% of causes in the unequal relationship among the output and inputs. This
principle is the general reminders of the relationship of output and inputs
which is not balanced. The principle of Pareto’sis, also known as the Pareto Rule
and 80/20 rule. Itself suggestion as well as observation is the Pareto principles.
In the Pareto principles the 80/20 rule in finding the various domains for the
physical world in theory. Natural Law is also conveyed by the Pareto principles,
and it does not always exactly the ration of the 20/80 that is regarded to the
imbalance along with disparity which is sent in the business cases (IntroBooks, 2019).
Now, in this case, 20% of sale representative
is very responsible for generating the causes of 80% to total sales.
The customer who has the banking accounts is
approximately20%, and it is uppermost for the reported technical error.
Coveys'
time management grid of Time Management to
improve performance
The covey’s time management grids could help
to manage the available time more efficiently. Then the Covey’s matrix which
allows organizing the priorities much better than the before. It has the idea which
is used the four quadrants, to evaluate the priority of the task. Then the
Coveys systems create this four quadrant to find their relation importance
along with the urgency that is helping to decide whenever it addresses the task
immediately, which could postpone.
This matrix is called Eisenhower urgent and
the important principle which is distinguished the urgency along with
importance;
The important responsibilities which
contribute the achievements goals;
Urgent responsibilities that need immediate attention,
where the activities which are tightly linked for the accomplishments of
various goals, and it is not the dealing with these issues could consequences (MUELLER, 2017).
The explanation of the Covey’s time
management matrix is divided into four quadrants;
·
Urgent
and important
·
Not
urgent but important
·
Urgent
but not important
·
Not
urgent, not important

Eisenhower
matrix of Time Management to improve performance
The Eisenhower
matrix is very easy, and it is not an extremely effective method for the
prioritize along with to manage the task with your time. The systems which is
basically creating you the separate for eth different activities into the four
levels which are not immediately dropped, and it really has three categories attentions
for the worthy task (Kirillov, Tanatova, Vinichenko, & Sergey, 2015).

·
Urgent task
and important, which receives the highest priority level that is not focused on
the primary level, and it is complete soon possible.
·
Important
but not urgent, is the long term goals along with the tasks are also important,
which is not firm about the deadline yet.
·
Not
Important , but Urgent Task : this type of task is that which delegate the
other professional to appoint to complete yourself , if you must o, but only
after your first-second quadrant
Parallel
programming model of Time Management
The set of the program, which isan abstraction
for the fitting parallel activities, form the various underlying applications
of the parallel hardware, is known as the parallel programming model. It has different
layers;
·
Compliers
·
Libraries
·
Application
programming language
·
Network communication
·
I/O
systems
Parallel programming model shared the message
passing with the shared memory, in the different combinations. Whereas the data
of the parallel programming model is the most significant, which is revived
again by the increasing popularity of Map Reduce. Several parallel programming
models that must specify the in what way the parallelism is imitated, and it
has the three HPCS languages, for the parallel semantics and it has no reliance
for the automatic parallelism.
Pickle
Jar theory of Time Management
Pickle Jar theory for the time Management is
very important. The Pickle Jar theory serves the various visual metaphor, which
is finding the useful along with what is not useful. Pickle Jar theory helps in the priorities for
a daily life which plan the different task in that method, which has the spare
time to instead of a few hours a day. There is the purpose of everything, which
is put in the Pickle Jar theory. The representation of the Pickle Jar theory in
our daily life is that it keeps busy and in what way it dived the task along
with the time in a day.
Action Plan
Reflection
on Time Management to improve performance
Step 1: Pareto’s Principle of Time Management
The expected outcome of incorporating a Pareto’s
Principle into my action plan, saw myself expect that the list would motivate
myself to reduce procrastination and distractions and achieve my entire list.
Although I was motivated and was rarely distracted, I felt greater levels of
stress, something to be avoided in time management. Generally speaking, I don’t
believe this Pareto’s Principle worked for myself personally. As a result, I
don’t believe this Pareto’s Principle improved my time management for the
better. Instead, I felt like I had achieved more but experienced greater stress
in order to keep up with such a Pareto’s Principle. I am unlikely to use this Pareto’s
Principle in the future. However, if I were to use a similar strategy in the
future, it is likely to be a simple to-do list that I don’t feel pressure to
tick off every minor activity. Partly I was to blame for this Pareto’s
Principle lack of success, but the ten steps to creating the list didn’t seem
to have many opportunities for leeway. It was also difficult to adjust the plan
to incorporate unexpected changes to my day.
Step 2: Coveys' time management grid
on Time Management
It is important to keep checking at such
short intervals to make sure you’re continuously efficient and achieve your goals.
To ensure you judge yourself accurately and aren’t too dismissive or hars,
there are four main criteria to analyses your progress. The expected outcome
was that Coveys' time management grid would
primarily help with my stress as by reducing a deadline will stop myself from
putting excessive hours into a single assignment. After trailing Coveys' time management grid, I found it
beneficial as it encouraged me to be more efficient with my time. It also left
myself not feeling stressed, leading up to a deadline. Overall, I plan to use
this Coveys' time management grid in the
future as it was extremely helpful in improving my time management through
increasing my self-awareness of what I was achieving in 30 minutes as well as
initially considering the importance of the task.
Step 3: Eisenhower
matrix of Time Management
This Eisenhower
matrix worked well as it motivated myself to set mini goals such as ‘complete important-Urgent
of a marketing report important-Not urgent by not important-Urgent the
deadline. The only criticism of this Eisenhower
matrix is that it is difficult to apply in situations that affect others, such
as group projects as you have very little control over the speed and efficiency
of others. Instead, it was easier to focus on me. Law. In regards to time
management, this Eisenhower matrix suggests
that people tend to be less efficient when they are presented with too much
time and thus pace themselves accordingly. This is because there is less
motivation to achieve the goal in a shorter time frame which results in
laziness
Step 4: Parallel programming model of Time Management
The anticipated outcome expected was that by
keeping an organized workspace, my procrastination and likelihood to turn to my
typical distractions would be reduced. The actual outcome was that these
measures, in fact, worked for me. By cleaning up my desk, listening to music
and putting my phone on silent behind my laptop helped me to focus on my work
and be more efficient in my time management. Is a Parallel programming model that
can be used to monitor your work progress every 30 minutes in order to ensure
you are self-aware if you are making the most of your irreplaceable time. Overall,
I plan to use this Parallel programming model in the future as it was extremely
helpful in improving my time management through increasing my self-awareness of
what I was achieving improves personal and work-life balance situation (Molaee, Azadzardeh, & Dortaj, 2014).
Step 5: Pickle Jar theory Time Management to
improve performance
Pickle Jar theory in an important skill for
managers as it is crucial that you understand how you spend your time before
you can actually improve it. In order to ensure you are spending time on
critical tasks, it is suggested that managers eliminate any tasks that are considered
in any of the four criteria. In a more specific management context this may
involve setting a time limit on a meeting to ensure they are productive and
time-efficient for all staff members. Large scale organizations became
increasingly inefficient as an organizations decision making became more centralized.
Eventually concluded that work expands to fill the time available for its
completion, thus establishing Pickle Jar theory which Improves work life and
personal life effectively and its actual outcome is Person become able to
perform tasks more effectively and have time for relaxation
Pre
and Post Test Methods of Time Management
The surveys of the time management and
identifying the key tasks and by tracking the time that I spend on each along
with setting the benchmarks to test and to measure my pre and post time
management skills. I would test my pre and post time management skills by using various types of tests. I will use
simple survey forms to evaluate my time management skills. I will give this
form to my team or other managers in my organization to pretest my time
management skills. Then after time management training. I will again give the same survey form to my colleagues,
managers, and team members to judge my skills. I
also use time management log as before training I spend better time on each
task, all tasks completed on time and mistakes reduce than this show that my
time management skill improves.

Learning Contract
The measurable aim that I am
looking to accomplish at the competition of this LC/AP is to understand the
significance of time management skills that is most essential to attain high
success throughout the life whether personal or the career life and to
determine methods and techniques that can support me to accomplish my goals and
targets by improving my time management skills. Time management skill is
referred to as the process of exercising and planning the conscious
control over the time that is spent on the specific activities specifically to
raise the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
Rationale
I have selected the time management skill
from the list of managerial skills. The
primary reason behind my selection is that the time management skill is the
mother of all the managerial skills because if we manage our time effectively, we will become able to put the focus on other skills improvement also. The
leaders if manage their time effectively will become able to make right
decisions and able to build effective strategies through complete analysis they
don’t have to decide in a rush because time management allows them to plan all things effectively and
increase their efficiency. The time management skill is useful to support technical
skills and to become an effective leader. It is the primary reason behind the
selection of this skill. Moreover, I want to
improve my time management skills because it thinks that I have sound technical
skills and knowledge but I lack time management skills due to which I am unable
to work effectively as I give more time to some tasks and on some task I make
work in rush because of less time that affects my performance and also raises
my stress level.
Pre-test and post methods
One of the best methods to measure my pretest time management skills is to check
past performance and records. I would judge my content before improvement of my
time management skills. I would improve my skills, and then I would post-test my
content quality to make the final verdict about my time management skills. For
instance, if my content quality and tasks efficiency will improve after the
training for time management skills improvement
test, then I would say that my time management skills are improved and vice versa.
