project. Syntactic, Pragmatic, and Semantic are three aspects of designs.
Semantic aspect is about searching the meaning of in design. Whatever we design
a product or a graphic design should have some meaning. Considering the subject
search cover several directions as it could relate to searching for more
information about the relevant design, product, or company. Basically, spending
time is essential to investigate complexities and to learn ambiguities in order
to prevent errors and make design accurate. In short, semantic aspect ensure
real bases for the correct and appropriate inception and investigation of
project excluding what they may be. Semantics is also important to infuse the
product design while considering all the cognitive inputs that were required by
the product.
While on the other hand, syntactic
aspect is different from semantics in designing a product or a graphic design.
Syntactic is about covering all details in a design. For instance, in graphic
designing syntactic relates to covering typefaces, headlines, structure, grid,
and illustrations. An appropriate relationship between all syntactical elements
is important for the purpose to develop consistency in the designs. In order to
avoid errors and issues, all elements should have appropriate relationships and
interconnections.
Pragmatics is the third main aspect
of designing a product or graphic design. Pragmatic is about communicating and
translating product design in an appropriate manner. Pragmatic is a really
important design aspect that ensures the purpose of achievement. If a design is
correct semantically and consistent syntactically but enable to provide clear
meaning and result of the product then all work and design is waste. Design
requires explanation to translate its relevance with the requirements.
Discipline, Appropriateness, Ambiguity, Visual
power, Timelessness, Responsibility, and Equity are also important concepts
that relate to the design and be given proper attention. Self-imposed
parameters and rules that we consider while design a graphic design or product
is known as discipline. Discipline add responsibility, consistency, and meaning
in a design. Appropriateness enables us to find right and accurate media and
material for design. Appropriateness comes in the design when we focus on
selecting the right and avoiding wrong directions. Ambiguity provides the
ability to confer a design or an object.
Design is one. Design is not many
different ones. Design can be used in several types of subjects irrespective to
styles. Design is something beyond and above styles. The visual power of design
decides whether a design is good or not. Creativity and visual power make a
design powerful and good. In the same page difference between the scale of a
page show visual power and beauty of the design. In designing a graphic design
or webpage difference in font styling and size provide visually dynamic
impressions. Intellectual elegance is also important in design. Humble artifact
elevation makes a design look noble stand. Our sense of decency, civic
consciousness, and social responsibility all relate to the intellectual
elegance of design. The demand for temporary solutions is not desirable. The
design should avoid wasteful exercises and investments. The design should be
simple and clear that doesn’t demand extra exercises to fulfill the meaning of
timelessness in design. It is the responsibility of a designer to design an
economically appropriate design or solution. Designers sometimes design a logo
or a graphic design that satisfy the ego of clients and design but does not
fulfill the requirement of an economically appropriate solution. Excluding,
this design should be a responsive design that stands for explanations,
apologies and delivers meaning without excuses. Overall corporate identity
depends upon the system approach. The only logo cannot translate the cooperate
culture of an organization. Considering equity we should not dispose of a logo
that has exposure of many years.
