Social
Welfare system in a country called Canada has been passed through a rough
estimate of around four different kind of the developmental phases that
corresponds the economic, political along with the domestic development of the
country.
In
previous time at the time of industrial progression, the response of Canadian
state towards the poverty along with the diseases that was largely regulatory
in the whole nature. Social Welfare by the Canadian Government is known to be
the local and the private concern that also had some budget for giving the care
to the mentally ill people due to any of the reason like any past incident,
overuse of alcohol or depression. They had rehabilitation centers for such
patients, they also worked for the disabled people and the neglected children
to up bring them by providing them all of the essential life requirements to
support them lead a happy and normal life like other children. (Raphael, 2004)
After
the process of consideration, provision of the Canada’s Government social
welfare continued to irregular that used to depend in the part on some of the
philanthropic concerns of all the people those comes in the upper class, and in
all of them especially the ladies who viewed all of the events of charity as a
source of an extension playing the role as a maternal along with the acceptable
undertaking in a society (Soroka, 2007). The very first expensive debate upon
the welfare system of the child and their benefits was conducted by the J.J.
Kelso from Toronto back in a year 1880s that helped in founding the Children’s
Aid society in Toronto at that time of the year in 1891 after huge efforts made
by him. And another thing that was done by him in 1893 was the first
comprehensive child welfare legislation to protect all the rights of the
innocent children those were not the part of the family by any reason but they
also are the future of Canada and they need to be given proper and basic rights
so that they can also live like other normal child and make their future a
better place. These all efforts were the beginning of the child saving moment
along with the family support in a country called Canada. Then the same tactic
was done in many different states for the same country Canada to support this
and don’t break the chain of this program.
Reforming
of this whole system used to be based upon the notion that a family and the
support of family used to be the base of a financial refuge. For the whole
intimate and their support along with their social reproduction of the whole
labor started to begin with the laws for the enforcement of alimony, for the
regulation of matrimonial property and the marriage as well and the last thing
is to limit the divorce along with the contraception. This all got extended by
the certain limitation on the working times for ladies as well as children.
Basic education along with the limitations of public health used to be known
mainly in reaction towards the spreading of disease along with some of the
fears of social interest as well. All the provincial governments in the Canada
started to support these charitable institutions as much as possible by
providing them with the regular grants. In Ontario, the very beginning
indication of the perceptual sustenance used to be in a kind of Charity Aid Act
of a year 1874 that is also known as the regulation of charities as well. In a
Quebec, Catholic Church used to be the center of the organization of all the
charitable social welfare. Government of the Quebec at that time didn’t start
to give the funding endowments to all of the private charities. (Banting, 2004)
Family Benefits that are being given
by the social program of Canadian Government:
This
program is not just to provide all the benefits or advantages to children but
it also helps out the families as well. This program helps a parent to get the
employment insurance benefits like maternity, paternal and the caregiving
benefits and the leave as well.
This
program for the family support is not just covering one sector but this is
covering many different areas like, (Vuksan, 2002)
·
Maternity
and the Parental benefits: This section covers a point that if
any of the mother is giving birth to the child or have given birth to a child
recently and want to give care to the new born child. This program is really
supportive for such parents.
·
Caregiving
benefits along with the leave: This section is for the
parents who are taking care of the ill or even the injured person in family and
they want to have leave. Then this program helps them for the provision of
leave without deducting any single penny from their income.
·
Child
Disability benefit: This program helps to provide a tax free
benefit by applying for it, if you are the family caring for the child having
any of the disability and one of the parent have to look after them than this
program is really beneficial and helpful for them. (Coates, 2018)
There
are many other parts as well that are being covered in this program and the
Government of Canada try to give as much benefits as possible to the people and
everyone also tries to avail them.
Canada Child Benefit: There
are number of different kind children in Canada who gets neglected by their
family due to any of the reason, these children then become homeless and they
don’t have any of the place to go. They even don’t get to have all the basic
necessities of life as well. So the Government of Canada found a solution for
this problem, to up bring them and provide them with all the things that are
important to lead a life. This social program every year supports number of
different children like they give them education, food and other things. They are
doing a great job as these children are the future of Canada and if they are
being left homeless or uneducated then obviously the Canada won’t have any
future at all. Annual benefit has also been amplified to $6,639 for each of the
child having an age under 6 years and then to $5,602 on each of the child from
the age of 6 years through 17. This is one of the chance which gives parents
more of the money every month and tax free as well for providing all of the
basic necessities of life for their kids so that they can have a good life. (Li, 2018)
Budget
of the year 2016 introduced this Canada child benefit as one of the key
initiative of the Government for the strengthening of a middle class and then
also help them out for working to join all of it. Then back in July 2018, this
CCB system was efficiently increased in two years ahead of the given schedule
to keep living up the with given amount of a cost.
Canada Child Benefit is: This
program that is being initiated by the Canada Government is very simple as the
families of such children get single income each month.
·
This program is tax free as families have
no need to pay for the taxes on amounts which they receive.
·
Families having low and the middle income
get to have high amount along with the families who earn a lot get to have less
payment by the Government of Canada in this program.
·
This program is very generous as it helps
many families to raise their children and give them a happy life.
Canadian
Government is the one that is giving a huge amount of the money every year to
support out all such social programs and to make sure every person who is in
need of such program avails them. No one is being left behind due to any of the
reason and therefore they also get to have the check on such programs at
regular intervals as well.
