Abstract of Saudi Aramco company

 In this report, there is complete information about the internship program. This industry program was held in the company named as Saudi Aramco. It is located in Saudi Arabia. This whole report is a complete reflection of my 8-week internship program in that organization. This report will cover all information that I have gained from this internship. Moreover, it will also deal with some problems that I have faced during my program. In that organization, my supervisor sent me towards the mechanical repairing unit. In that particular unit, I have gained information about the repairing of different kinds of motors and pumps in an effective way. Moreover, I have also learned how to analyze the problem in that machine. I can say that this course will help me in the future. This is because through the help of this course I was able to upgrade my knowledge in the mechanical field in a proper way.

I would like to thanks my parents first because they have given me an absolute chance to prove myself in my life. Moreover, my whole university has arranged that subject in a proper way. During the internship, I would be extremely thankful to my both supervisor. They were the only person who gave me important knowledge about this subject. Introduction of Saudi Aramco company

If a person is best in theoretical knowledge, it doesn’t mean he is good in practice skills. This is what I have learned through this internship. Before this subject, I had a lot of questions in my mind that I was required to be answered in a proper way. But due to this internship, I was able to know the practical advantage of the theoretical part. Moreover, different kind of confusions has been solved. From them, the most important one was related to the practical advantage of Vernier caliper and screw gauge. When I was required to use these components then I realized its importance. This is because without them measurement of mechanical parts was completely impossible. I am extremely glad to complete my internship from the Saudi Aramco company. This is because the whole organizational structure was extremely cooperative with me. I was sent to the mechanical repairing unit. At that unit, I have to analyze different machines through overhauling and then fix it properly after solving it. At the start, I was extremely confused about dealing with the mechanical problem. But my supervisor helped me a lot to walk through a difficult time without any problem. The main purpose of this subject is to upgrade my practical knowledge in a proper way. This report will give proper information about what kind of problems I had faced during the internship and also how these problems are overcome properly without any difficulty.

The company of Saudi Aramco company

The name of the company is Saudi Aramco. It is an oil company that is located in Saudi Arabia. It can be noted that it is considered one of the largest companies in the world by revenue. It is also the most profitable company in the world. In this company, the employees are working from different parts of the world. Headquarter of the company was located in Dhahran. This company was founded in 1933. In that company, I was in the mechanical repairing unit. In that unit different parts of the machines are overhauled and repaired by engineers and experts. This unit is only involved in overhauling and fabrication. I am completing my degree in mechanical engineering and this is why I was sent to this unit.

Activities and responsibilities of Saudi Aramco company

According to the nature of this company, it is involved in different kinds of activities. The fact is that this company is always interested in the training of its employees. This is because they know that employees are the main foundation of the company that can easily increase the productivity of the company. The internship was held in the biggest plant of this company in the whole world. At that time the managers and important persons had given us important knowledge about the future of the company.

The supervisor of this company had started my program with the help of safety. This is because safety is extremely important for the person that is working in such an environment. This company is responsible for the safety of each employee of the company. This is the reason why they gave me a proper manual about the safety program of this company. This shows that if I wanted to go anywhere in the plant I have to take permission from the company. The company officials had provided us complete information about the rules of the company. This shows that all activities will be carried out under these laws.

Major tasks of the project of Saudi Aramco company

The whole internship program was completed in 8 weeks. Every week, my supervisor had provided me different tasks that I had to complete within time. In this section, I will give proper information about the different tasks of the company and how I had complete it in a proper way during the internship. In the starting week of the internship, my supervisor gave me complete information about the safety precaution in the company. Moreover, in these eight weeks, I have gained proper information about the different machines and their repair. The below section will deal with different tasks.

Repairing of screw pumps of Saudi Aramco company

It was the first task of my internship, my supervisor gave me this pump for repairing. It can be noted that it was making a lot of noise during operation. This shows that there is some mechanical fault present in it. This can be solved by dismantling the pump. But after this, I was not able to figure out the main problem. During that time my supervisor helps me and this pump was struggling with missing balls in the bearing. Due to this, it was making such a noise (Austin Hughes, 2013).

Repairing of rotor pump of Saudi Aramco company

It was the second task of my internship program. My supervisor had given me a rotor pump for removing mechanical repair. It can be noted that this motor was struggling with vibrations and excessive noise. This is because the O-rings of the motor was damaged. Due to this fact, it was struggling with this issue. For that case, the supervisor had assigned an engineer with me that helped me a lot to solve this problem. During this problem I was able to fix back the motor into original form (Dahoud & Mohamed Fezari, 2014).

Repairing of electric motors of Saudi Aramco company

In this task, I have gain proper information about the electric motors in detail. Moreover, my supervisor had gave me complete detail about different types of electric motors and its applications. In this task, different components are analyzed with its proper working. Furthermore, the next task was related to the giving presentation to the members of this unit regarding the electric motors (Dahoud & Mohamed Fezari, 2014).

Repairing of machine part of Saudi Aramco company

In this task, one machine part was damaged. Then supervisor gave me a task to design a new part for the machine. This particular machine part must be designed according to the dimension given in the manual. In that task, I have gained proper practical application of the Vernier caliper and screw gauge. This task was extremely challenging for me in the start because I have to confirm these dimensions of the machine part.

Conclusion of Saudi Aramco company

Summing up all the discussion from above it is concluded that this report is a complete reflection of my whole internship program.  This industry program was held in the company named as Saudi Aramco. It is located in Saudi Arabia. This whole report is a complete reflection of my 8-week internship program in that organization.

Before this subject, I had a lot of questions in my mind that I was required to be answered in a proper way. But due to this internship, I was able to know the practical advantage of the theoretical part. Moreover, different kind of confusions has been solved.
