What was your reaction to Google beating a human at the Chinese game of go?

When I saw the gameplay of this game that google is defeating the human at the Chinese game of go, I was really very shocked that how it is possible that how a software, machine or digital game automatically defeats any human. That was so amazing and very strange for every human. In short, the gameplay was very interesting because it seems like the human is playing with another intelligent human, not with the robot.

·         Did you have an accurate understanding of AI before watching this video? What were your previous impressions of AI?

Basically, I had the knowledge about artificial intelligence as well as I thought before that I have very information knowledge about this technology and have already informed that Artificial intelligence is used to develop the robots, to develop the games, software, operating systems for better machine learning that can make the machine effective intelligent. Yes, I had some piece of very limited knowledge that I realized after watching the video of google is playing the game with the robots. But the truth is that I really did not have the information about how strong and powerful artificial intelligence is.

·         Did you have any perceptions of Chinese society and culture before watching this video? What were they? Were any of those perceptions challenged or confirmed by watching this video? What did you think about Chinese culture encouraging good social behavior and penalizing bad social behavior like jaywalking?

I have very small and limited information about Chinese society and culture. I have the information about their culture that they are interconnected with each other and they are very strong socially. The culture of the Chinese people is ancient which can be seen in their villages in which the Chinese people prefer to wear their traditional dresses and to be socially connected, they used to play several games. There are four types of social classes exist in Chinese people which are: peasant, landlord, craftsman as well as the merchant. I have an opinion about the socialism and societal values of Chinese people that their culture is very beautiful and very pleasant that connects people with each other and encourages people to be connected to each other.

·         This video suggests dichotomies between opposing cultures in several scenarios. The most obvious is China versus the United States. Others could be those whose jobs are threatened by AI versus those whose jobs are not threatened by AI. Another could be those who can afford to adapt to AI versus those who cannot afford to adapt to AI. Poor countries versus rich ones Comment on these dichotomies and any others you can think of.

There are several kinds of dichotomies exist in the world and the most highlighted and obvious dichotomy is china vs United states. In the explanation of this dichotomy, China is the highest populated country in the world and they have decided to go with the technology in the future while it is very low use of technology in United states. Due to this reason, researchers have said China is the new Saudi Arabia in the world. Many people also afraid of Artificial intelligence use in the world because they may lose their jobs through the use of AI and they will blame on the technology while other people whose jobs are not threatened by AI, they love to adopt this technology and most of them are businessmen and technological people.

·         How do you think AI will influence your career? Do you think it will influence your current plans for education?

I have an opinion about Artificial Intelligence. The artificial intelligence is more effective and more polished technology introduced by the scientists in the world. when this technology did not exist, the people never imagine they will have comfort in their lives even in their works. But now after seeing the applications as well as the power plus workability of artificial intelligence, I have a belief that it will be very influential in my career because it can business easier and interesting. Furthermore, It can also influence in my academic career because there are now many applications introduced on the play stores that work on the rules of AI.

·         What is the role of national pride or global competition in the US versus China dichotomy?

I believe it is a big role do dichotomy among china and America that I can describe in very simple words as well as in a very short way. The main conflict between the US and China is that they have now become strong competitors in the world. The major role of the nation pride or global competition among China and US that both countries are focusing to invent and hold heavy market shares. United Stated wants more influence in every aspect politically while the china has decided to go further with AI technology. That’s why, China is also called now the new Saudi Arabia in the world.  The United States have already the crown of superpower and think everything is in its control but china did also work very hard and held high market share as well as made itself the world’s second most powerful economy by believing in the national pride. So, nation pride can play a very important role in every field of life and it is the basic reason for hate between them.

·         What were your thoughts about Alex Hernandez, the 24-year-old CEO of Embark driverless transport? What are your thoughts about driverless vehicles in general? Did this video change your expectations as to how quickly it will be implemented?

The thoughts of Alex Hernandez who is CEO of Embark driverless transport in the age of 24 are very clear related to the autonomous transport. He believes that AI and robotics is very effective key to make the vehicles automated. It is because the autonomous vehicles may have the ability to increase the law abiding by vehicles as well as it also can reduce the accidents on the roads. My thoughts on the driverless vehicles are also clear that the cars or vehicles must the technology because it will facilitate the drivers. If the driver is unable to save from accidents, the AI technology can save the vehicles from accidents. The video has really changed my expectations. I thought that this technology will not be implemented immediately or will take so many years for implementation but it is really fast.

·         What were your thoughts on the graph that equates the Industrial Revolution with AI?

The thoughts of the graph are discussed in this section that equates the industrial revolution with AI. It is described that the inequality is rising in America. It used to be the top 1% of earners are shown in the red. The middle and lower earners in the blue colored line that had the largest share. Then fifteen years ago the lines crossed each other as well as the inequality has been increasing ever since.

·         What were your thoughts about the gender impact of AI?

The artificial intelligence has a gender problem. For example, apple mobile has used artificial intelligence in Siri that is always unable to provide information about gender. Furthermore, Google has also implemented the technology of google assistant that is also unable to tell about gender. On the other hand, there are several robots developed in the world but they all have the gender problem but only in china the improved versions female robots developed.

·         What was your reaction to the situation presented about Saginaw Michigan?

I have watched the video in which presented about Saginaw Michigan. I was really surprised by how technology is being used to support the military. It was also interesting that the agencies are using the technology to prevent and control terrorism in the country.

·         Segments 4 and 5 present another dichotomy. The United States using AI to create surveillance capitalism and China using AI create a surveillance state. What are the differences between these 2 results? What are the similarities? Overall, consider these 2 results to be good or bad? To what degree are privacy concerns being infringed on in surveillance capitalism and the surveillance state?

According to the point that is described in the question of using AI by both the countries the United States and China, are completely different from each other. The surveillance of capitalism is America they privately collect the data by monitoring their people's movements as well as behaviors by using online protocols but china is the Surveillance of the state is the country where the government engages in pervasive surveillance of large numbers of the visitors and its citizens.  The United States using AI to create the surveillance capitalism, as well as china using AI to create a surveillance state, are different because china it the polished country that Is using the artificial intelligence effectively to create the world automated. China has taken the lead in the field of artificial intelligence.

·         What is your reaction to the Google executive stating "You don't need to type; we know what you are thinking"?

When the google executive stated that you do not need to type anything on search engine we already know about your thinking.  I was shocked when the executive of google said these lines. I was also thinking that how they can assess all of the things in my mind what want to search on google. Then I did insert some keywords to search the movie on the internet but I was shocked to see it really happens. The executive of google was right. When I entered the keywords in the search engine, I really found that I had got the accurate results along with some suggestions. Then I realized that the technology of artificial intelligence is really very powerful.

·         Similar to the good citizen index introduced in segment one, segment 5 introduces a terrorist rating in China for Uyghur Muslims. Does the United States mimic this practice through profiling by law enforcement?

The technology is used in China to control the terrorist attacks as well as controlling the terrorism activities in the country by implanting the AI cameras in the streets. The technology is used to profiling the people and easily identify the terrorists.

·         The documentary ends on the concept of China and the United States working together, or China in the United States competing against each other in creating a technology Cold War. Which do you think is more likely to happen and why?

The documentary is also showing that there is a very tough and strong competition between China and the United States and both are always wanting to develop new technology and the world is also taking their eyes on their technological discoveries.

As China is also known as the new Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, US has the political and technological jealousy with china. I think America and chine will not work together because of the nation pride as well as global competition. Both are competent and very effective but china is more competent as well as very strong to discover new technology to produce new machines and products to facilitate humans. The United States is a little slow from China. China has also the edge of going further to develop more machines and technologies because they have recently developed 5g technology as well as developed harmony OS potentially that is a very big achievement for china that helps to take the lead in the market.

·         AI is capable of eliminating routine tasks from human labor. What are the overall implications of that happening?

It is the really very noticeable thing that many laborers throughout the world may lose their jobs as well as they also may lose their dignity after losing the jobs as the artificially intelligent machines introduced to the world. NO doubt the technology will free humans and provide them relief in their daily lives but job opportunities will become limited in the companies. But in short, artificial intelligence is capable to exclude the routine tasks from human labor. The labor that will work in the companies will have to feel comfort by using the new intelligent machines. So, the productivity will also b increased.
