Subject: Problematic Internet Usage by Employees
Cc:
Attached: E-Mail and Internet Policy
In the past, I had told you to limit the usage of internet only for business
and work-related tasks. However, I did not get the results that I was
expecting. So, I am forced to remind you again that it is becoming a major
issue for us and you should not utilize the internet for your own personal
purposes.
I have been notified by the IT team that our bandwidth has been compromised
significantly. The main reason is you guys. Apparently, you are using the
internet for your own personal means and goals. The internet provided to you
has a limited bandwidth and when you all use different platforms such as
Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, it impacts the internet adversely. Believe
me, I don’t want to limit your creativity because I know that relaxation is
necessary during work. But I am forced to stop you because if you continue to
use internet for streaming videos and such, we will not be able to perform our
tasks.
Thus, I have added some more restrictions in the existing policy about the use
of internet for personal uses. If you still continue to violate the rules, I
will be again forced to restrict the use of e-mail completely. I want the best
thing for my business and for you. Therefore, I need your cooperation. In fact,
you can use the internet when you exit the office.
You need to show your cooperation by reading the policy and signing it. By
March 1, you need to submit your signed documents. I hope I will not have to
take harsh measures again.
