Introduction of
new campus for the UBT in the Dhabban
The project management plan is
about the construction and start-up of a new campus for the UBT in the Dhabban.
The UBT is working successfully in its current geographical segment. Although,
current analysis of market recommend that UBT can expand its business
operations in the new locations because of the increasing number of students in
the archology field. To meet this increasing market demand UBT will open a new
campus of archaeology and tourism in the selected locations with a total
budgeted cost of $1,297,100.
2.
Goals and
Objectives of new campus for the UBT in the Dhabban
The project
will have the following goals and objectives:
i)
To build a new campus of
UBT in Dhabban
ii)
To provide educational
services for the students of tourism and archology.
iii)
To start classes on
the new campus before August 2021.
3.
Project Scope
Statement of new campus for the UBT in the Dhabban
The project
scope is to construct a new campus in the selected location within the one-year
duration as the campus is required to be accomplished before August 2021. The
project deliverables are the construction of ground floor, offices, classrooms,
libraries and labs in the campus with all required facilities. Moreover, the
project also requires the recruitment of academic and administrative staff for
the delivery of educational services. The key limitations are the short
deadline and limited availability of funds.
4.
Project Team
and Work Responsibilities
The project team will have to
be delegated various responsibilities regarding management and construction
work. To avoid ambiguities and conflicts a clear work breakdown structure is
developed for the project. This following WBS will be used as a guideline to
assign duties and accomplish work activities in the project.

Total Project
Budget of new campus for the UBT in the Dhabban
The following budget is a part of the overall project
budget. In this following table, construction cost is calculated for the whole
project which is around $
1,285,600.00 which include estimated prices of material, decoration, and labour
cost. It is important to understand that project cost is important, and total
cost should be mentioned with correct estimations, otherwise budgeting process
can get in trouble.

In the presented below table,
the total project budget is provided. The budget includes operations cost,
construction cost, and market research cost (before the start-up of the
project). While marketing and advertisement costs (additional) contains project
and tender advertisement costs for labour, equipment and furniture purchase. It
is quite evident that construction cost is way more than any other costs from
the total project budget, which means that major portion of the budget is taken
by the construction work. The other costs as compared to construction costs are
way less, and company should not face any issue in managing these costs. However,
it is important to keep in mind that construction costs can increase from its
original estimate due to a variety of reasons. So, there should always be
enough financial resources at the back to deal with any additional construction
or other costs.

Project Closing of new campus for the
UBT in the Dhabban
After giving details for the whole
project of constructing and starting-up of a new campus for the UBT in the
Dhabban, it can be said that project is not going to be an easy one. But the
good thing is that students are giving good response to UBT, which is a
positive sign for them to go with this project. It is good to see that all of
the project related elements are detailed in this project management plan such
as project goals and objectives, project scope statement, project team &
work responsibilities, main activities of the project, total project budget, as
well as, all kinds of operational costs. After looking at all the facts and
figures and estimates made with relevant scope and responsibilities, it is
evident to say that UBT will be able to handle this project in a successful
manner.
10. Recommendation of new campus for the UBT in the Dhabban
It is vital for UBT to understand that any new project is
not an easy thing to manage as it has so many elements to cover. Some of these
situations can be estimated and expected, but every project can come up with
various unforeseen situations, which can be a problem in completing the
project. For instance, sometimes, the budget forecast can be wrong in
projection, especially when any additional costs are there to handle. So, it is
strongly recommended for project supervisors to keep these elements in mind and
some extra budget and resources should be allocated at the back, which can be
used at the time of need. These additional resources and budget is important to
manage project with its original timeline to avoid any inconveniences.
