issues which children and their families experience in society. The
organization tries to resolve these issues by supporting them and providing
them the ways through which they can live a successful life in society (Child Center NY, 2020).
As
discussed earlier there are many programs that are established by the center to
provide support to children. In the preventive program the main issue which
most of the social worker face is regarding child welfare involvement. The
preventive program provides services to those children and their families where
children face issues like neglect by the adults. Through the preventive program,
the children are given financial support and emotional support so that they can
live a normal and successful life. The counseling and other services are given
to the children which helps them to build various skills (Addams, 2012).
The
programs which are established by the Child Center NY are funded differently.
In other words, each program has its own source of funding. The preventive program
is funded through ACS. Different
programs have their own crisis intervention strategies that they utilize for
providing support to children and their families. In the preventive program,
the safety and risk of the client are being evaluated by the social workers.
The social workers develop the safety plan. If the child is being served from
neglect or other issues than the social workers take immediate steps so that issue
can be resolved effectively (Heather & Yang, 2018).
There
are many reasons which inspire social workers to do this job. There are many
clients who do not want to accept the change or want to be helped by others.
However, there are many clients who want to accept the change for their own
good. The families who accept the change for themselves and for their children
become the inspiration for many social workers. Such families remind the social
workers that the change is possible if little effort is done to bring the
change. The social workers try their
best to bring change in the life of the people who are facing different
difficulties (Tulane University, 2018).
The
social workers who provide social services to the people follow the social work
code of ethics (NASW). The social work code of ethics helps them to work
efficiently and provide services efficiently to their clients. The aim of
social workers is to provide quality services to their clients. The social
workers provide services to the clients in such a way that the worth and
dignity of the person won’t get affected. The social workers know the
importance of human relations and provide the services so that human
relationships can become stronger effectively (Tulane University, 2018).
