Assignment on Exploring the Role of Education

Education plays an important role in making the life cycles improved and efficient which make people successful and groomed as well. Different educational philosophies help in understanding the nature of knowledge, the way people come to know, and what teachers should teach or the curriculum aspect. Educators across the world use one or more of these philosophies in classrooms. According to Richard Rodriguez Education changes the persons personality totally by allowing it to be confident enough and making it worth to approach many of the successful things in its life and in future ahead. He worked really hard and in the novel he has motivated many people towards education by letting them know how education can help a person in many ways.

Thesis statement, “Education makes a person better? In which ways and why so?”

Personality development is one of the most important thing and one should always keep on trying to improve their personality as much as possible and this development needs to be in a positive way. Now here personality development doesn’t mean at all just to enrich the outlook of a person, it is not just to have good grades. In short personality development is not just about one thing but it is a cluster of many different things. Personality development is the knowledge that makes a person what he or she is. Personality plays one essential role in the success. How one can have a good personality to be successful? Well this personality development is in actual conjugated with the good education. Education is the most important factor and it plays a very important role in the development of a good personality. Same is the thing mentioned in the novel by Richard Rodriguez in “Achievement of Desire” his parents was not that much educated and he felt that no one was there to help him and to guide him that how one should walk in a society as well as school along with the other people. (Rodriguez, 2018)

Education plays number of different roles or factors in the development of a personality and these roles are positive enough to the different perspective. Impact or role of education in every person’s life plays a positive role in every shape. Let’s have a look at the different roles of education and how they play a positive role one by one: (Yen-LinChiu, 2016).

Education gives knowledge, as we all know that to survive in such a modern world knowledge is very important and one can’t move with the rest of the world if they don’t have knowledge. If one sits in a group and he or she don’t have knowledge then obviously that person would be considered a complete fool. The lacking in knowledge can definitely cut down the pleasing effect of the politeness along with the good dressing sense as well. Education helps in increasing an intellectual growth. Education also helps in keeping the mind directed in a right direction. Education helps in giving a motive and purpose in life. According to the writer of novel, he put a great emphasis on the value of reflection which immediately opens up the space between thinking along with the immediate action. Education helps a person to think broadly.

Education can teach a person different Ethics. To be successful in a life, one have to face number of different defeats and one have to accept all the defeats as well. Education definitely will teach a person to use all of the fair means no matter what happens and what kind of situation is. Cheater remains a cheater and this reflects the personality of a cheater. Education helps in being fair to everyone. Education helps a person in giving number of different lessons which will help a person to differentiate between right and wrong in life and one can easily select the right path without getting confused. (Carrillo, 2016)

Confidence is very important for the personality of every individual and Education is the only booster here which helps a person to pass the hurdle of this low level of self-confidence easily. When one have knowledge I believe confidence in them comes along because they believe nothing would be able to defeat them. Education helps in developing the complete personality of an individual. Without having confidence I believe no one can survive in this world and obviously confidence comes with many small things like how one communicates, interacts with other people, give response and acts in different situations. So all these things only come up by having education. By the writer of Novel, Achievements of Desire, he mentioned that he was only capable of achieving big things in life because he was confident much and all the confidence which he had in his personality was because of education. According to the spare parts, Education is not just a word but it is the mixture of different things, it helps a person to adopt healthy habits, it helps to increase the ability of thinking along with the increasing memory as well. Education helps in making a person disciplined. By having an Education one can come to know how he or she should behave in a particular situation. This education may seem like a simple word but it helps in making a complete personality and without having education I believe one won’t be able to build up their personality and this makes a person seems like a failure in today’s world. Education have a positive impact on every second person in this world. Everyone wants to have a good personality but one can’t have it easily just by the blink of an eye. It needs hard work, education and patience of course. Without having education in life, it is impossible to get all such things that are being discussed above. Education helps in giving almost each and everything in life about which any person wishes or desires for. Education is not a joke at all, if anyone takes it lightly then obviously that person will develop a personality which is next to a joke.
