It
is important for everyone to realize, what their field of research is.
Especially, students, who are looking to join a specific field, they should
know about their field and its perspective in research. It is quite an
interesting idea that people should not take any research field just as a field
of ideas and methods, rather they should look at it as a group of humans who
form such research communities. I am really inspired by this idea and I also
believe that every research field has become a field because humans have worked
hard on it. They have explored it and develop ideas so that new dimensions can
be found in every field of research. Being part of the studies of project
management, I also do feel that I am a member of a research field related to project
management. This is how I feel about myself being part of the field of project
management. If I have to become an expert at project management, then somehow I
should be part of the research arena so that I can understand previous research
dynamics, as well as, look for new dimensions in the best possible manner.
The
researchers related to the field of project management has tried to explore
every possible element of this field so that project management can be made a
better with a great knowledge base for experts, companies, and individuals to
follow, who are going to be part of this field. Any field cannot grow and
develop without the essence of research. That’s why I believe that I am going
to be part of an important research field, and if I want to be remembered as a
useful part of this research community, then I will have to make viable
contributions. If I want to keep this identity with me, then I must take part
in research activity to explore more ideas and areas of project management,
which has been untouched so for. If there has been any research gap, which
needs more focus, then I must look to conduct research in those areas. By doing
so, I will be able to make great contributions to the field of project
management, but I would also strengthen my identity as a part of the project
management field. This is the only way I can keep building my identity, and I
will give my hundred percent to do so.
