In this scholarly case study, the
center of attention is the topic of Mobile SEO. There are so many trends, which
are increasing in the recent era, and one important trend is the increased use
of mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. It means that users are
visiting e-commerce and other sites on mobile devices. So, it is an opportunity
for businesses to capture the essence of mobile SEO to get more traffic and
business.
Mobile SEO
It is a fact that SEO has been one
of the top skills of the recent digital era, which has transformed so many
things for individuals and businesses. It is helping businesses and
entrepreneurs to get better and useful traffic on their sites, which is helping
them to increase their reach and success. Keeping this fact in view, Mobile SEO
is equally important. Mobile SEO is basically a process, which is done to optimize
websites for search engines, combining with error-free viewing on tablets and
smartphones (McGeeney, 2020). It is a fact that the number of mobile
users is increasing, which means that the number of users visiting e-commerce
and other sites is also increasing with the passage of time. According to data
released in 2019, the total number of internet users was 4.4bn, and the number
of social media users out of this number was 3.5bn. It clearly shows how social
media and other usage are increasing on mobile phones (KEMP, 2019)
Keeping the above information in
context, it is quite obvious that mobile SEO is becoming more important in so
many ways. If any website has to get better ranking and index in Google Search
Engine, then they will have to come up with proper mobile SEO, otherwise, they
will not get, what they want to get. Every business or blog needs more traffic
on their sites, and knowing the fact that people prefer to visit sites on
mobile phones, then it is vital to do search engine optimization in a
mobile-friendly manner. It was revealed in 2015 by Google that number of searches
on mobile devices has crossed the number of searches being done on desktop
devices. It shows that things started to change 5 years ago, and if any
business or blog has not been able to do mobile SEO for their platforms, then
it means that they are lacking a lot of opportunities, which they could have
grabbed. They have certainly missed opportunities to get better ranking on
Google search engine. If any website has done it earlier, or if they are
seriously looking into it now, then they are going to take a lead from others (Crowe, 2018)
It is vital for companies, blogs, or
even individuals having their websites then they need to adopt ways to do
mobile SEO as early as possible. Even a famous company with a large customer
base may not have a better ranking in Google search, just because they did not
pay attention to Mobile SEO. So, it is all about doing search engine
optimization, and now things have come in the court of mobile SEO. If any site
is having better mobile SEO, it can capture so many competitive advantages. It
can also be expected that mobile SEO is going to be more critical in the coming
future because consumers are switching towards mobile devices. They are using
mobile devices in the office, in homes, while working, watching TV, or even
when they are traveling. Mobile use has become very much part of daily life.
That’s why, people tend to search for e-commerce sites and use their apps in
mobile devices, and this trend is more likely to continue in the future (Hurley, 2020)
