For Alex, nothing
was as good as pranks. His parents would often say the day he stopped pulling
pranks that would be the day when donkeys would fly. He laughed at his own
thought and hid the wire with leaves. His trap had been laid and now it was
time for action to happen. A child-like grin lit up his face as he saw his
target entering the field. He quickly hid behind the kitchen door and saw as
his little brother with a book. He was in his own world as he pulled the wire
and he had a look of surprise on his face before pink paint was poured on him
from the tree above. Alex had to stop himself from doubling over there in
laughter but he had to see the next stage of his prank. White feathers fell
down on pink paint and he finally could not hold it in. Loud laughter erupted
from him.
“Brother!!” Steve
yelled in rage but he could not stop himself from laughing.
“There is a
flamingo in our garden!” Alex shouted at the top of his lungs and a few heads
popped up from the neighbour’s house and they could not help but laugh
themselves.
“Just you wait, I
am going to get you for this!” Steve’s face was scrunched up in anger and it
only caused Alex to laugh more. Steve was looking like an angry flamingo.
Seeing this, he dashed in the house from the kitchen door. Finally, after a
while, Alex picked himself up from the ground and wiped tears away from his
eyes. What could he say? He used to watch Horrid Henry and the show inspired
him just too much. He still had a lot of pranks to try. A laugh escaped him as
he went back in his house.
