adopting health and safety issues at the workplace. Industries are varying from
each other, some are working in construction, public Health, International
Development and as well as in the Education Department. All that business is
rigid with Enterprise Resource Management to deal with the resources and to

industries that the introduction of measures to encourage improvements in the
safety and health of the workers at the work is the key element of the labor
union.
The traditional view
implies that the most important safety and health major task for the leader is
taking Occupational Safety and health standards in the account to make sure
that all the rules and regulations are followed by them. The report is dealing
with the issues that could be faced by the leadership team of the company. The
report is concluded with the statement that organization situation leadership
can play important role in enhancing the health and safety culture because most
of the employees are untrained and it is important to change the leadership

them to accept the change.
(Chaudhuri, Dayal, & Ganti, 2019).
2. Introduction of
Health and Safety Leadership
Companies
working in the multinational countries are corporate with some risks that are
evaluated by the board of directors. The management of the company in the
decision making and making the plan of the action that is available for the
stakeholder shareholders and the potential investor in the annual report of the
business. Industries are varying from each other, some are working in
construction, public Health, International Development and as well as in the
Education Department. All that business is rigid with Enterprise Resource
Management to deal with the resources and to allocate the resources in a good
manner. Companies that are managing risk from a very long period there have
done this by adopting insurance policies. Insurance is the main resource to
manage the risk. (Markets. ft. com, 2019).
The liability of
insurance is malpractice to deal with the risk and manage the risk of the loss,
but there are many key elements that are used in the enterprise resource
management to overcome the risk of the business.
Organizations have
managed such risk through the capital market and derivative instrument in the
investment market to face the Ups and Downs moments of the market. These Ups
and Downs are included, such as currencies, interest rates, and commodities,
prices and equities instability. In risk management, there are some measures
that are adopted for the safety of for workforce. These are the World Health
and safety measures that are adopted by the company to save the workforce in
the manufacturing industries. Employees working in the manufacturing industry
have more chances to face injury or death due to working in heavy machinery.
Companies are conscious of the implementation and considering rules and
regulations that could prevent such kind of flaws or order other Issues.
3. Literature Review of Health
and Safety Leadership
Companies are working
with such rules and regulations that could be used to attain the goals and
objectives of the productivity and increase profit, many organizations fail to
get such advantages to their weak Department of Health and safety, health and safety
are key concerned that should be at first for the management of the company so
that the workers could work without any risk or than danger. Business
performance is not only measured by the profit or productivity of the company,
it is also measured by the safety and health issues such as the several
employees are safe and secure while working in the company or there is no any
risk of life loss or injury or being disabled for working in the company.
Business performance is also measured by safety measures. Therefore, companies
are eager to adopt rules and regulations that could save and protect the
employees working in the manufacturing (AlShathry, Omar, 2015).
There are several
companies that are facing issues and challenges in the health and safety
measures. As it is not an easy task to handle the safety measures, there are
certain industries that they could initiative cross purpose, productivity and
profit enhancement without we’re adopting safety measures that could result in
loss. Companies fail to recognize safety measures and rules and regulations of
Health Organization to industry tragic differentiation to source the computer
to get the source of competitive advantage. Senior management has to be
convinced with the benefits that could be attained by safety measures, and this
could be done by the management with adopting some measurements. In managing
the safety measures in the industry, there must be complete knowledge and
training program for the employees to work with the heavy machinery (Ektinteractive. com, 2010).
There is a lot of
goodness that has been generated for the management to show the right way for
making sure that Occupational Safety and health is sufficiently deal with the
company principles of leaders are mainly proposed the same structure start with
the task of the workers. International Labor Organization and other
international publication take steps to implement the policies and organization
responsible for the accountability of Health and safety issues with the proper
planning or and in the formulation of the policies, the goals are getting
Occupational Safety measures that could be easy to adopt by every company who
are dealing with the manufacturing business. Leadership also influence the
health and safety behavior of the employees. By implementing such rules and
regulation of health and safety, culture is regarded as a key factor when it
comes to determining the efficiency of the system. (Laureate Education, 2013).
3.1.
Current issues in
Leading Health & Safety
The biggest worry of the
emerging companies and economies is that the huge working population is working
in the industry and the literacy rate is very low. That could understand the
risk of manufacturing. The problem is the acceptance of the incident that makes
the chance will be part of life. This could be done on a regular basis. If
there are no safety measures in the companies, they should be a short-term
focus on their daily or weekly program that could be range to give awareness to
the employees. There must be an arranged education and training program for the
employees to work in an environment that is dealing with the heavy machinery
and working with the safety of loss of life. The mechanism of compliance is
regulations that are concerned with the safety measures are not enough strength
and as compared to developed countries in developing countries, there are
multiple authorities that are looking forward to the US protection of
employees. There is no single authority that had to deal with all the problems
in one industry. There is no proper mechanism to report the incident to the
head of the Department there.
There are also no
compliances that are offered by the employer to employees. In such cases when
there is the loss of life or disabled at any point. There are also no
regulations and. Rules that code compiled by the company to save the employees
from the heavy risk. There is a proper need for implementation of health and
safety measures in the manufacturing industry so that the workers and employees
could work in a safe environment to avoid such kind of loss. We are living in
the Life of Technology. The time is not so beyond that all the work or manually
done the work or done by the help of technology that is much easier, but there
is less often. Many kinds of data the MIS software of the companies are respect
to diagnose the disease and statistics of the management level to give
information about the employees. The automatic risk management program and
plans are helpful to get control of the risk in detection and mitigation of the
risk by the company. (Hughes & Ferrett, 2011).
3.2.
Role of Leadership in
improving Health & Safety Practices
Leaders are the key
management of the company that deals with all the safety measures and rules and
regulations in the company. Leaders have different kinds of practice that made
them different from the working employees. As concerned with the leadership in
health and safety measures, there are different areas that are significant in
the management leadership to become visible that come to the Occupational
Safety and health aspects of the manufacturing concerns. Leadership should
ensure that a good and functional management system is working in the company.
To see the health and safety measures, health and safety measures or a proper
Department that is had by our HOD and management system are most effective to
learn about the performance of HOD. (Pouliakas & Theodossiou, 2013).
The success of Occupational Safety and Health
Management is based on the behavior of the leader that develop different
strategies to save the employees from the danger or risk of the of being
disabled. The involvement of the employees within the process of manufacturing
is based on the strategies that are implemented by the leaders of the company
and it is also important that the communication of Occupational Safety and
Health Management Department and the management. The company is strong that the
proper rules and regulations could be evaluated. There are different dimensions
that are successfully built up for safety measures that are reflected in the
report Management, safety priority and ability drafting to the manager make the
ability and the behavior that comes with the safety of the employees (Bjerkan, 2010).
Management safety, empowerment relates to the
question if the manager makes sure all the necessary requirements are made to
deal with the safety measures at the workplace management safety. Just dealing
with the fairness of the management behavior in the different cases and ensure
that there are no discriminations between the employees and all are working in
a fair manner. Companies working in traditional risk management accident
prevention to deal with the unavoidable situation, health and safety behavior of
employees by implementing a health and safety culture could be possible in the
manufacturing concern.
Leadership influences
risk management and accident prevention by enhancing the minimizing risk of
birth accidents. Responsibility of management of the company is to follow the
general rules that are described in the safety measures, rules and regulations
of workers against accident and disease that are presented by Consul offered
directive. The introduction of measures to encourage improvements in the safety
and health of the workers at the work is a key element of the labor union. The
traditional view implies that the most important safety and health major task
for a leader is taking Occupational Safety and health standards in the account
to make sure that all the rules and regulations are followed by them. It should
be the chief executive officer of the company. Who is taking work from the
workers and take care of them?
Culture is based on the
behavior of the employees that work on a daily basis for Health and safety
policies. Even though there are major signs to integrate the core values and
ethical values in the business. According to Peterson, certain criteria our
foundation for the positive safety culture is adopted by the management to gain
credible work and behavior of the employees on a daily basis. The development
of Occupational Safety and health culture is based on the management that is
leading the vision and strategy of the health and safety measures in the
company. (Masso, McCarthy, & Jackson, 2017).
4. Application of Theory to Practice
4.1.
Evaluation of Health
& Safety Leadership Styles
The health and safety
leadership styles have huge impact on the implementation and monitoring of the
health and safety procedures in the organization. The leadership styles such as
situational leadership, transformational leadership and coercive leadership
handle the situation in the organization differently. These leadership styles
have the potential to enhance the health and safety environment in the
organization.
4.1.1.
Situational Leadership
In the situational
leadership style, the leader of the organization change itself according to the
situation of the organization. The leaders who follow situation leadership
style change the style of their leadership according to the needs of their
followers. Such type of leadership style helps the leaders to influence their
followers more efficiently. In this organization situation leadership can play
important role in enhancing the health and safety culture because most of the
employees are untrained and it is important to change the leadership style
according to the development level of the employees.
4.1.2.
Transformational Leadership
In transformational
leadership style the leader of the organization tries to bring change in the
organization so that the current issues of the organization can be resolved
efficiently. The transformational leaders provides a vision to the employees of
the corporation and influence them to accept the change. The transformational
leaders provide all the necessary details to the employees so that change can
be implemented effectively. In this firm it is important to bring change
because the current level of health and safety is not according to the
standards.
4.1.3.
Tough-coercive Leadership
The coercive leadership
style is different from situational leadership style and transformational
leadership. In this leadership style the leader of the organization wants its
employees to follow its instructions strictly. The leader of the organization
tries to bring change in the organization so that the current issues of the
organization can be resolved efficiently. The coercive leaders provide the
necessary details to the employees so that necessary change can be implemented
effectively. In this firm it is important to change the current situation
because the current level of health and safety is not according to the
standards (Dobre, 2013).
4.2.
Path Goal Theory’s
Relevance to Health & Safety
Path goal theory developed
by Robert House is considered an effective contingency approach in leadership.
The theory is based on the guidance of the leaders to the subordinates to
provide support and necessary information to the subordinate to get the goals
effectively and efficiently about besides the organizational goals. Duty is
based on the two situational contingencies, the first one is the group member’s
personal features and the 2nd is the environment in which the employees are
working. There are four different types of leadership styles that are suggested
by this theory such as participated, sportive, directive and Achievement
Oriented Leadership style. A good leader must know about which style is
suitable for the situation. Directive leader represented their turn, the
subordinate and the implementation of the rule of the work is done by the
leader. The supportive leader pays high attention to the subordinates and their
opinion, needs and services to the employees. On the other hand, the contrary
and participate if the leader encourages subordinate participation in the
process of decision making and take opinion from them.
Now, it’s up to the leader that which style is
implemented in the situation. The task and nature of the subordinate’s
requirement will inform the leadership style that which one is selected to
implement in the case. The degree of the task is defined by the proportionality
of the level of guidance and direction that is required by the workforce. The
path-goal theory-based. That leader should be. Relationship oriented according
to the needs of a particular situation in the business. Theories based owner
two variant hypotheses. The one is ventured subordinate or the workers or
considered the behavior of the leaders as a source of satisfaction of their job
that is acceptable and attained by the employees to get the satisfaction in the
work.
The behavior of a leader is considered
acceptable if the workforce feels free to work under the supervision of the
leader and satisfied with their job. The second hypothesis considered the
behavior of a leader to inspire the workers, so the behavior of the leader is
convenient and it lay with the motivation to the employees to satisfy their
needs and give an effective performance that is admirable by everyone.
According to path goal theory the role of a leader depends upon the environment
in which they are working, that how to deal with the workers. There is a clear
part of the goals that can be achieved by working in the same environment to
implementing different kinds of rules and regulations.
4.3.
Evaluating the impact
of ensuring team cohesiveness, team structures and dynamics
The purpose of the report
is to learn about the impact of team cohesiveness and the effectiveness of the
policies that are implemented by the management of the company. There are
different dimensions of team cohesiveness or research in this study are setting
Goals and understanding them is participation of the employees, communication
ideas, and generation of different ideas to manage the conflict between the
management. There are key factors that are contributed to have in the work of the
team. The task is originated by the policymakers to work in the partnership.
The key factors are used in that inquisitiveness that influence. The goals are
set jointly and understand by the team members to participate in the activities
of the team working.
Cohesive teamwork is on a
high level when the team can be effectively translated the rules and
regulations or the goal set by the management. Therefore, the team required to
be ensured that the highly cohesive orders are gained in the working so in the
business management it’s helpful to get the objectives of the company favorably
and effectively. The cohesiveness of the team is influencing the performance of
the company with some circumstances. Health and safety measures are used to
determine the goals of the company and such goals are oriented by the
management of the company and are helpful to achieve the required strategies of
the company.
Employees are the most
significant part of the organizations and considered the main asset of the
organization the teams are built by the combination of the employees with the
different kind of skills to determine that the goals of the organization could
be attained with the help of the strategies that could be implemented by the.
Team numbers to compute the innovative and effective environment in the market
organization must focus on them self-motivated and efficient team that could
maximize the profitability of the company and utilize proper Resources to gain
the goals of the business success of the team depends upon the effectiveness
and the various factors that are including such as working, design, composition
leader and the team performance of the managers to measure the satisfaction
level of the productivity. There are several factors that to increase the success
chance of the team leadership interest building is very important in their team
management. This excess of the team is based on their leader to give insight
and instructions to the workers and the team members (Broman, 2017).
5. Conclusion & Recommendation of Health and Safety Leadership
It is concluded that in
the situational leadership style the leader of the organization changes itself
according to the situation of the organization. The leaders who follow the situation
leadership style change the style of their leadership according to the needs of
their followers. Such type of leadership style helps the leaders to influence
their followers more efficiently. In this organization, situation leadership
can play important role in enhancing the health and safety culture because most
of the employees are untrained and it is important to change the leadership
style according to the development level of the employees. Transformational
leaders provide a vision to the employees of the corporation and influence them
to accept the change. The transformational leaders provide all the necessary
details to the employees so that change can be implemented effectively. In this
firm, it is important to bring change because the current level of health and
safety is not according to the standards. The coercive leadership style is
different from situational leadership style and transformational leadership. In
this leadership style, the leader of the organization wants its employees to follow
its instructions strictly overall different leadership styles can play an
important role in enhancing the health and safety in the organization (Maiers, 2019).
