Introduction of Supply Chain Management Proposal
In general, supply
chain management is quite a broad field and in the context of an organisation,
it is considered very important. If supply chain is not managed in an effective
manner, it might lead to a loss in efficiency. There is even a chance that a
company might experience a loss in revenues. For the facilitation of supply
chain management, an information system is essential that provides necessary
information about different processes related to supply chain (Slack, et al., 2010). In this paper, it
will be analysed how supply chain management and ERP aids Rolls Royce in managing
its processes.
Rolls Royce of Supply Chain Management Proposal
ERP was introduced
by Rolls Royce in the organisation for the resolution of issues because the
management of processes had become quite difficult for the organisation. The
effective implementation of ERP processes and information system aligned with
supply chain management enabled the organisation to resolve all the issues that
it had been experiencing and it also enabled the organisation to improve its
processes, which indicates the potential of ERP.
Deliverables of Supply Chain Management Proposal
There are three
deliverables among which the time or specified time-frame will be divided. The
three deliverables include initial research, writing the draft, and finishing
the draft by proofreading. These are the deliverables and first of all, related
journal articles will be researched about the topic of supply chain management.
Once all the necessary data has been obtained, the first or initial draft will
be made. Once the initial draft has been made and every requirement has been
met, I will begin working on the last or third deliverable which is to
proofread and ensure that all mistakes have been eliminated from the solution.
Conclusion of Supply Chain Management
Proposal
Lastly, a conclusion
will be provided in which all findings of the research will be summarised.
