Analysis
of Three Proposals of the construction
project to be started in the month of March 2020. In this project
In this case study, three proposals are
suggested for the project management to reduce time and penalty.
Proposal: 1
This proposal will reduce the 6-week
duration by expediting overall construction work started by the construction
company at the cost of $20,000. The net benefit of this proposal is
The net benefit produced by proposal
three would be $51, 000.
Decision of
the construction project to be started in the month of March 2020. In this
project:
Based on the calculation
it is decided that the company would have more benefits if proposal three is
selected. The additional required cost by proposal three is less than other
proposals. Although, the net benefit amount of this proposal is greater than
other proposals. So, proposal three will be selected for this project.
December
Non-Working Days of the construction
project to be started in the month of March 2020. In this project
According to the working schedule,
workers had to work in December. Somehow, in case of extreme cool weather in
December workforce would not be able to work properly. In such a situation, the
company would have to give leaves to all employees and construction labour for
the full month of December. This decision would generate a direct impact on the
time schedule of this construction project. In the whole project duration,
December will come two times therefore overall project time will have a delay
of two months. Moreover, because of this delayed project will also have an
increase in the amount of project penalty.
Conclusion
of the construction project to be started in the month of March 2020. In this
project
The whole discussion concludes
that the construction company is having a construction project for a building.
The construction project will be completed on 2 February 2022. Because of the
delay, the company will have to pay a penalty amount of $580,000. However, this
amount will be reduced by the selection of an appropriate project proposal for
the company. The proposal three will provide greater net benefit than proposal
one and two.
