Hineighbour application is developed for the users around the city using different types of social media websites as well as the different applications to interact with their friends and other users around the world. Most of the time, some users think or wish to meet with a person physically but they were unable to meet with other people and interact with the nearby persons. The users may face a different kind of problems and feel fed up with those applications in which the user can only send a friend requests to other users and message them for making conversations. Some unknown users also in the contact lists and they can easily watch the daily activities, posts as well as statuses on those applications, and most of the time, the user won't know their identity. To overcome such kind of issues, the Hineighbour application is proposed that is developed for real interaction with the users as well as for the nearby users. The application will provide the nearby users for making communication and the users can easily determine each other easily. The research paper is providing information on the scope, objectives, and background of the study. The first chapter is completely based on the introduction in which aims, problem definition, rationale, objectives of the project, and the background information is provided. The second chapter is providing the information on planning and research the methodology is explained briefly in these documents describing the iterative development model is proposed for the development. In the design part, the diagrams are discussed while in the development part, the programming procedures discussed. At the end of this dissertation, some recommendations are also discussed.

It can be noted that millions of users are interacting with each other and different social media platform. From them, Facebook and twitter is considered as one of the most popular application. Through these applications the person is able to contact with various people or celebrities on the application. These applications will bound you socially with other people. But it is not possible to meet them in real world. The next thing is that the internet is growing at faster rate from the last few decades. Due to this fact, other similar social media applications were introduced for connecting people with each other on the social network (Wang & Sukthankar, 2013). 

Moreover, the next thing is that digital marketing is also available on the social media. Due to this, it will become easy for different companies to reach towards its customers in real time. Moreover, they can easily take real time feedbacks from them. Another fact is that social media applications have become one of the fastest way to communicate with millions of people around the world. Furthermore, it can be noted that such platforms are playing a major role in the diffusion of information. Due to this diffusion it contains a major impact on the society of people. This is because they can easily communicate with each other at the same time without any difficulty. It can be seen that with the passage of time, social media applications are upgrading. The developers are adding new advance features in this application to make it reliable for different kind of business. This shows that these applications are putting positive impact on the business studies and other platforms (Mor. Naaman, 2012). 

Moreover, the social media applications are responsible for the exponential growth of the modern business practices. This is because many people around the world are connected with each other and buy different kind of products. But the main fact is that the customers and buyers are not able to meet with each other in real life. 

The next fact is that due to such interaction of people on these platforms, people can easily share huge amount of information with each other. This shows that people are able to share different kind of information and knowledge with each other with perfection. Another fact is that this information can be used for mining useful insights of the data. With the help of this data, it can be suggested that there are some events on social media. These events are gaining a lot of attentions from the users. Due to this fact, the social media developers are adding new features in the applications. They are involved in making these applications different from others. For that case, there are many developers that are involved in making applications for attracting more customers around the world. Moreover, another thing is that there are some social media platforms that are using different kind of features for the people. They have also add social media groups. In such groups different people are added with similar quality. This can be explained with the help of an example. This shows that if someone loves cooking, then there is a group in which people learn how to cook different kind of dishes. All of them are involved in sharing different kind of dishes each day with everyone in the group. This makes a similar community and group of people with same activity (Maillo, Triguero, & Herrera, 2015). 

Moreover, the next fact is that there are some people who are connected with its neighbourhood friends and family members. Despite this, they are not able to meet with them in real life through the help of social media application. This is because it will keep them private so users were not able to meet with each other in real life. 

It can be noted that social media applications are become one of the most popular way to communicate with each other. Therefore, it is considered as extremely popular with people. There are many people around the world that are involved in sharing their personal images with their friends. On the other hand, there are many social media images are connected with GPS. The next thing is that GPS information can be removed easily through the help of large geo-tagged images during visual search based approach. Due to this approach it will become easily for the user to attach images with GPS. It can be noted that as the time is passing there is huge development in the communication technology. Due to this different digital services are applied on the social media applications. 

This means that users are able to connect with each other and sharing their personal locations. There are a lot of people around the world are involved in sharing images with each other on social media applications by attaching GPS. Due to this, it will become easy to access GPS estimations in the web images. Moreover, another fact is that this information can be used widely on different kind of applications like content browsing and image search. Therefore, if there is any requirement of connecting with different people on social media then it can be done by GPS technology. After some time, there are many researchers that are involved in making some amazing changes in the GPS system of the social media (Li, Qian, & Yuan Yan Tang, 2013). 

Moreover, they are working on making GPS location more accurate than before. The next thing is that GPS location estimation is considered as one of the most challenging task for the social media developers. This is because if there is any image on the social media without any supplementary information it will become extremely difficult to track it. On the other hand, due to this it’s input information is used. But for that case, computational cost and image GPS estimation performance cost will be evaluated properly. Now there is need to consider the important requirement of the GPS estimation. The main thing is that GPS estimation must be involved in giving real time information. Moreover, if user wanted satisfactory image location so there is a need to analyse special features of the image. Furthermore, it can be noted that images taken at different location must provide similar appearance but its local features are different. This can be explained with the help of an example, if images of churches are taken from different places but contain same colour and texture. Now there is need to estimate the GPS of image with a church. Due to this, it will find the similarities and then find the exact location of the church according to input image through GPS system (Jurgens, 2013). 

In this report, there is complete report about the social media application than can easily connect with each other through GPS system. This shows that if user turns on the GPS system then it will show different people around the neighbourhood. Due to this they can easily connect with each other. Through this applications people are able to connect with each other without any difficulty. The next important thing is that for using a purely unsupervised data approach. For that case, it will become easy to connect with different people in the neighbourhood. According to this application, the group of people are divided according to different GPS location clusters. Then it shows that if the local feature of the user is match with the other then it will become simple to connect with each other through GPS (Yin & Liangliang Cao, 2011). 

But social media is what spreads within a second by the use of strong words that can turn the situation upside down within seconds. There were different types of methodologies are reviewed and analyzed to see the best fit for the application. The project application has many features that make the application different from other social media applications. Hineighbour will also work the same as other social media applications work such as the users of this application can post or share their pictures, images, and videos to show or receive from each other. As the planning for the development of any software application needs any relevant input, it was also a very important input to start the plan on this social media application which was: the people who are already the users of other social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and other applications but they are facing problems in using these applications that they have no nearby feature and the people may have various unknown friend requests on the applications,

The problem definition part of this document is providing brief information about the problem faced by many people while using their social media applications. The problem which is faced by many people is that the other social media applications are providing the facility of connecting people to each other but in actual the applications are unable to connect people with each other in real-time. The problem is that the people who are using other social media applications, contact other persons online but not physically. No doubt, the concept of the social media applications was very effective and attractive to connect the people that played the role to connect people with each other but all of the people who are using those applications, they are unable to meet their social media friend physically. Furthermore, it can also be understood with the help of an example. For instance, an existing social media app user lives in the United Kingdom that has connected by sending or receiving the friend request to another user but the other same social media app user lives in another country such as the United States. Both of the users can interact with each other, even they can also make conversation, sending or receiving text messages, making voice and video calls to see each other but they cannot meet with each other because of the immense distance between them. It is the major and big problem with every user of the social media applications who can interact with each other but they cannot meet at any time. On the other side, many users from different countries may also face difficulty interacting with each other because of the time gap. Thirdly, many unknown people are also using the applications who have not actual identity sending friend requests and watch the daily posts of the user. 

Research and planning of the Hineighbour application

According to the author Akolawala (2019), it is codnudted that Social media websites also contain personal information and personal data of the peoples. Peoples always wish that their information kept saving from the hands of the other people who can use it against them and threaten them, or cause any disturbance in their lives. As we know that, today everyone is using social media websites and sharing their information and personal data. They believe that their data is secure and protected, but are lot chances these websites can be breached, and your data and personal information can be leaked. People need to know the methods which can be used for this type of situations and secure them from any future problems. In our society, social media is a very significant place. Pakistan is in the top list of the social media user around the globe, where the social media could also use the platform for the different discussion of the social issues as well as the social problem. Most big companies, medium-sized companies, even smaller companies that have performed well out on social media. So, take a look at some of the companies that inspire you or some other companies in your industry, or even again your competitors and see what they're doing and what they're posting, and what kind of engagement they're getting so you should always, you know, be able to seek out what others are doing on social and to me, this is important create a social media contact counter and this isn't necessarily the very end of the process. But here I do have a very strong belief that yes characters would definitely respond on the social media because no one can tell openly each and everything to others from their own mouth using the words. Social media tool which author have used is not only of one kind but are of two different varieties. One is the use of Facebook while second one is the Instagram. Facebook and Instagram both are being used on a great scale by the people as they help a lot in letting the people know what is happening around them which they can’t see them with their own eye. Authors have a very strong belief in this area that my characters will definitely use these social media platforms as teenage and young people prefer using them in their free times. They have a curiosity in them that what is happening around the world. Plus they feel and want to become the voice of the victims who have been through some serious incident. author am sure that both these social media platform will be used definitely without any kind of the doubt. 

In the methodology section, it is described the methodology for the development of the Hineighbour application as well as the brief justification of choosing the development methodology. The methodology part is providing very brief information and the explanation of the methodology of the development of the application for local are users. As the application is completely based on social networking and the aim is to connect nearby people for interaction online and physically in real-time. There were different types of methodologies are reviewed and analyzed to see the best fit for the application. The project application has many features that make the application different from other social media applications. Hineighbour will also work the same as other social media applications work such as the users of this application can post or share their pictures, images, and videos to show or receive from each other. To introduce the functionality of using this application in the current area and to make sure the people are seeing relevant data and the posts of their current area, the GPS location is the used in this application to determine who can see the posts or videos. (Baliarda, Borau, Rodero, & Robert, 2000)

The iterative model was used for the development of the Hineighbour application. It is identified that the iterative model was very effective as well as very helpful in the development of the application. It was effective because the model provided the surety to generate working software immediately. Furthermore, the iterative model which is used for the development of Hineighbour application provided the application for use and test during the lifecycle of development. Hineighbour applicaon development life cycle was started to form the planning step. As the planning for the development of any software application needs any relevant input, it was also a very important input to start the plan on this social media application which was: the people who are already the users of other social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and other applications but they are facing problems in using these applications that they have no nearby feature and the people may have various unknown friend requests on the applications, they can see the daily posts the users post on the social media accounts, as well as the most important point of development of this application, was that the users were not able to meet each other physically because of the distances as mentioned in the problem definition (Alshamrani & Bahattab, 2015). 

Planning - In the planning step, it was reviewed the other applications as well as the problems which are mentioned previously. The new plan was generated to overcome the issue and the users will feel comfort by using the Hineighbour application that prevents unexpected entry of unknown people from other areas. In the software planning step, it was also created a document for the specifications of the application development. The application will have two big modules. The first module is the web-based admin panel and the other module is the Android-based application for the users. It was highlighted the software specifications, the hardware, and software requirements which are essential for the development. The specifications including tools are for the 

Requirement Analysis - In the second step of the iterative model of the software development of the Hineighbour application, a brief analysis of the requirements was done. The analysis was done because of the software application will be constructed based on those requirements. All of the relevant requirements were determined in this step and the analysis was done to see what things are important in the development and what requirements can be implemented. Furthermore, the purpose of the development of the Hineighbour application was specified in this step including the importance of the application as well as how the users will be benefited from this application. To analyze all of the requirements of the application, the database models were also defined and created. It was also analyzed that the requirements are defined to construct the application. The requirements which were gathered for the development of this project were: the user can send a message, photo, and video to the nearby users, the user can show all posts and related comments, users can chat with the followed person, no less than 16 years will be allowed to make accounted and restricted. The whole data related to every user will be saved into to database. According to the requirements of the Hineghbour application, the database tables, as well as entities, were determined and defined (Yuki, et al., 2014). 

In the designing phase of the Hineighbour application, the data and the requirements which were gathered in the raw form, were trimmed and converted into a meaningful form for better representation of the requirements. The requirements are essential for the development of the work. All of the requirements such as the users, admin, areas, chat, comments, pictures, and videos were represented in the form of diagrams in the designing phase of the application. To represent the database entities and the tables, the entity-relationship diagram was formed after performing normalization of the diagram. For the development or construction of the software application, some programming logic was required. To illustrate the functions or methods, the class diagram was formed to represent the class name, important attributes methods as well as the relation of every class with other associated class. The class diagram illustration was very important because the project has several types of classes performing different actions. 

For the representation of the application’s functionality as well as the operations, the use cases were created by using another software tool used for drawing different diagrams. It was also made multiple use cases. There are multiple functions of the Hineighbour application. The main actors of this application are the users of this application who will create an account on this application by using their emails, the main or the manager, or the owner of this application who will manage or control important things on this application by using the website admin panel. There will be two major applications developed. The one is the mobile application for the users and the second one application is the website-based admin panel. The use cases for every interaction or action are created to show what actions will be perfumed by the defined actor in this application.  

In the implementation phase is a very important phase of Hineighbour application development. The implementation phase was never started before the planning and analysis phase completion. In the development phase, it was also reviewed all of the significant requirements of the Hineighbour application and the analyzed data was also considered to develop the application. It is the coding phase in which all of the requirements and specifications were converted into programming language to make the application fully functional. As the coding process was started, all of the planning, requirements as well as design documents were converted into digital programming instructions in the first iteration of the iterative model. Some problems occurred in the development phase due to some requirement analysis issues but they were resolved. The issue majorly came into form in the design of the user interface and some errors came in the connectivity with GPS to see nearby devices. For the coding of the Admin panel, HTML, MySQL, and PHP were used. While for mobile application development, Java programming was used in this step. To show the data on the user interfaces, the PHP web services / APIs were used to show the data of particular users. The Google APIs were also implemented in the mobile application to show the maps on the user interface that will also show the nearby users on the map after some modifications in the code (Sandhu, 2003). 

Testing – The application of was completed developed and it is in the working condition as well as it performs different functions such as registering the users, the user can edit the profile, the user can create the group, manage the session, the people screen is showing all of the groups and the users, posting pictures and commenting. But the application is not ready to deploy or commercialize into public because there can be different bugs present in the application. To identify the errors, bugs, as well as ambiguities from the application, the white box testing and black box testing principles, were applied to the applications which can damage the workability of the application. 

Deployment – after complete testing of each component of the application, the Hineghbour application was ready to make online because most of the bugs removed from the application.  

The design of the application is a very important section in this document that is showing and providing brief information on the design and tells how the application was designed. Furthermore, the design of the application in every software or the software project is considered the right hand of the software application because it is the only one thing that can tell how the application was developed, how it was built, how the data of the user will be saved in the database, what are the important classes of the application, what is the relationship into the database tables as well as how the users or the actors of this application will have interacted with the application. All of the related information will be discussed in the computer design of the application. As the iterative development model is proposed for the development of the Hineighbour application. The designing phase is the part of the development model in which many different types of diagrams included (Halpern, Gingold, White, & Read, 2014).

It was needed the architecture diagram form the development of the application, so the brief diagram was drawn for this application to show the basic structure of the application. The architecture diagram for the Hineighbour application is based on mobile users who will be connected to GPS through the internet. The web browser is for the admin panel. The admin panel was developed with the website programming language as well as the admin panel will be used through any kind of web browser that is also connected with the cloud server, GPS as well as with the mobile applications of the users of the applications. They databased is used to store all of the information such as user's data, pictures, videos, friends, group settings, messages as well as comments of every user into the database. Every user mobile will be authenticated otherwise the user phone will be blocked from the network. 

The mobile application has many different kinds of operations as well as different kinds of functions that will be performed. In simple words, the application has various types of activities that will be performed by the actors. The first activity or use case is sig up. It is shown in the sign-up use case, the user (actor ) will interact with the user interface and successfully created the account on the application by using email and entering the password. 

The Add post-activity use case diagram shows that the actor who has been registered as well as log in on the application, can post an activity or post any status, video or the image on the wall of the application that is assigned him from the application furthermore, he can also watch his posted content on the user interface. 

The use case for posting story is also showing the user can interact with the user interface and can post his story on the application which can be seen by the other users who are in the contact with this actor the nearby user can watch his story.

Another very important activity is chat activity and the use case for the chat activity tells the user (actor) will interact with the application directly and can make conversations or start chat with the friends who are in his contact. 

The use case for comment tells the actor will interact with the application user interface and will place a comment on any picture, video, status, or any kind of post defined in the project. 

Dashboard activity use case diagram tells the admin will interact with the dashboard where he can show a different types of activities such as analyzing the traffic and other related activities performed on the website panel. 

The use case for edit profile tells that both actors users and the admin can modify their profile and alter their information in the application. 

The use case for Logout activity is telling that the user and the admin can also log out after using the services and performing their activities. As they tap or click on the log out button, the system will take them out of the application. 

The development section of this research document is providing brief information related to the development of the Hineighbour application. The application consists of two different types of modules which are: website based application developed with the use of the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and PHP languages while the mobile application is developed by the use of Android Java programming, MySQL as well as PHP. For the development of this complete application, the complete iterative development model was proposed and used that helps the whole development of the application. In the description of the development of the admin panel, the Html 5, CSS, and JavaScript languages and techniques are used to construct the basic views or the user interfaces of the application. While the PHP and MySQL were used to develop the backend of the application. On the other side, Android Java programming is used to develop a mobile application for users. The PHP web services were also were written for mobile applications as well as the website application to show the relevant data on the users' interfaces. The data which is being fetched with the help of web APIs is encrypted and wrapped in the JSON response that increases the security of the application. Furthermore, the socket programming with the use of PHP programming is also used to connect the users' devices with GPS. 

This dissertation is contains on the ten (10) major section that are explores aspects of the single topic respectively and simultaneously. All of these chapters are exploring the concepts for analyzing the development of the Hineighbour application as well as the brief justification of choosing the development methodology.

The first sections of the research study in which the ideas are generated to perform the research on the particular topics.  In this section of the research study the brief back ground of the research study has been conducted related to deployments of the development of the Hineighbour application and its upcoming challenges. This chapter also discusses about the Scope and signification of the research studies how it’s beneficial for the policy makers and reactionaries. It also provide the about how this study will be contribute in the design. The research objectives and background information are developed in this section that will be attaining in the further parts of the research study.  

The second section of the research study that is describes about the theories of the several authors who have worked to analyzing the challenges of the deployment of development of the Hineighbour application. This section of the research study discusses the related work of previous 18 years from 2002-2019. The requirements are essential for the development of the work. In this research study here, we found some weakness as well as strengths also, but, in this paragraph, we will discuss the weakness of the study and there. The research has been created to find out the Companies are not getting a Hineighbour application GPS location is the used in this application to determine who can see the posts or videos.. However, Hineighbour application should invest in workforce training or not, and this will be concerned about evaluating the case study of social media app. Finally, it has been noted that there was some weakness presented in the thesis, but it also has some strengths too. The weakness is given below:

A study must be detailed. As the research study comprehends, not too many details have been done in this just because of the short time limit. Despite this the presentation of data can be emphasized and increased, we may take a large number of the social media application, but the problem is that we have a short limit of time.
