In the modern world of technology tools such as television, computers, radio and other devices of internet can help gain knowledge in multiple areas such as education, entertainment and human rights which further offer multiple choices that helps the person to facilitate its learning in a broader canvas for the needs of future. The things offered in the internet’s makes the younger generation to see and study as much information as possible about the newly generated things and they try to become more advanced then the adults in extracting the data from the internet. The intellectuals analyzed that the involvement of internet in the younger generation is wider chance for democratic and community based participation for the betterment of creativity , expression of thoughts and play and also to widen the knowledge pool where on the other hand some people take it as wrong gesture and an end of traditional values and authority

Childhood is all about learning new things and exploring the solutions and internet plays an active role in changing the way of learning and communication in children behavior. A brief assessment has shown the result that children who are given access to internet at an earlier part of childhood have proven out to be more confident than the children who were granted access to this facility at comparatively later time. The internet is more like a communication area and it also facilitates the students to work outside of their school and have a healthy communication. It is quite important to have skills of communication in this social communicative world which further helps them to be more active in outgoing.

It Is major part in life to spend quality time with family and friends and especially for children because at the time when they will need their job they should know how to communicate in a professional manner, but there is a major chance they will lack this capability. The internet can be useful in this regard but it’s quite necessary to be opened minded and use the internet in a productive direction. The internet gives a fun environment, but it totally relies on how you take benefit from it because being informative and socialized is an important factor as you face the outside world

The internet provides fast interaction with the help of emails, services of chats and platforms of social networking which includes sites like twitter and Facebook. These major sites offer socializing which can be quite fun to use but it’s not mandatory for children to use only this feature along with that there are a lot of other activities which can be done on this social sites such as watching informative videos and following the channels and pages related to your field of study. The internet can be seen everywhere from shopping to ordering food and there are many children who are helping adults on working on the internet. It has become easy to gain knowledge regarding any subject, business or any other activity. The availability of internet is 24/7 and all sort of data are accessible and it has been organized which is quite easy to understand hence it makes the learning easier for the young generation and they find it comfortable.

Technology have improved itself a high rate as we compared it with last generation. Children are pushed to make the best use of internet for the purpose of research because they find edible information and it is described briefly and easy to be understood. When they understand how to operate a online search engine they are able to expand their knowledge on anything they require or like to. The children of today have the capacity to learn things faster than the children of the same age from previous generation and many intellectuals believe internet facility is a major reason for this.

Computer is considered to be the easiest way to gain information because you can find all sorts of educational material and its helpful for students. The internet is summarized of every information a child requires which involves educational videos, homework, instructional videos on things and experiments which we find hard to implement on one go. The internet offers every type of education a child need. If there is a lack of understanding in class lectures or you have missed something in the lecture then the same sort of education is available on the internet which can be accessed on few clicks , in this way the student can pause and rewind the same information over and over and understand it thoroughly and some of the educational sites also offer on time chat in which the participant can ask for any sort of query directly at the moment.

Children are considered as the generation of ICT or the generation of computer in information and communication with the help of this technology. Now the greatest number of children have more knowledge then their parents or elders and can help them guide making an order or help them in online shopping. This scenario shows the result that internet can be a major tool in expanding education to area of rural and urban with less cost and infrastructure.

When a child is working on a project or some sort of homework, the internet is an area with huge amount of information which is a very important resource in the current time. While the internet is an amazing place to gain information but parents have rightful concerns on the other material which is also available in the internet easily and they should keep an strict eye on the usage and apply filtration from those sort of materials. It is a reality that there are few major risks in the usage of internet for the users. Children are at a high risk especially because they are using the internet without any restrictions or supervision which might lead them to unnecessary involvement in area where they shouldn’t be such as relationships and social discussion which might bring effect to their thinking.

Try to restrain kids form the use of internet is the need of hour so everyone should make sure to do this task. On the account of parents in this matter, they can play vital role. They should have a strong connection so that they can keep an eye on their every move while using internet. On the part of teacher, there proper and valid discussions on the right use of internet would bring positive consequences as it will be helpful in flourishing their mind on the positive effects of internets and keeps them away from its negative use. There should also some proper programming systems which can educate them and keep away aware from its ban uses. Children should adopt this habit for their own benefits, if someone makes true efforts to keep them safe either teachers or any members of their family as it would. But being a mature person, you should act patiently so that kids cannot get offended from your true sense of devotion for something that only can prove harmful or beneficial depending upon their use and their wastage of time in case of excess use. Your plan should be very effective to avoid from the further inappropriate activities of internet not only in a way to blame them first for this negative result and then chose to guide them. There are some bright and dark aspects of everything in this universe. If you finally get succeeded to motivate them, then internet is full of its bright and positive aspects. Young people on its right use are enjoying fruitful results of internet. They are getting more and more knowledge in different fields having their set final goals. Learning the right use and make it your one of the keys to success is in your hand own and nevertheless an art

Survey of Children on internet:

A survey is done. The objective of that survey is to get the general view and the concerns about the increasing development of children knowledge through the use of internet. There was a questionnaire in the survey that need to get answered by the parents of almost 20 to 30 families who will have children of angling age of 6 to 17 and they are also having internet at their home. This range of age is because at this age children are more fascinated and attracted toward use of internet. Many of them are raised up by their mother and some of them with their father.

Benefits on internet on children

Development of the children knowledge through the internet:

In order to enhance the education skills of the children, their participation in internet and its services is thought to have the positive and development which can increase their knowledge through many ways. This is far more than just involving in online encyclopedia or just looking for some subject. There are many sites that are designed specially to help them with their homework. There are some services that assist online with the homework that is specifically given by the teacher like the ability of sending the assignments and questions by using email to someone who is expert in that subject and then they are able to get response within seconds.

There is full encouragement in Malaysia from sides of the government that they inspire schools to use ICT through many programs like Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) and many such programs  that is linked with ICT in order to give many computers and increase the school facilities in Malaysia both in urban as well as in rural area (Syahirah, 2006).

Through the conducted survey it can be seen that 70% of the respondent said that their reason to give their home with the facility of internet is to help their children in order to get the learning process to go smooth and easy and without any hurdle. 25% said that they themselves need that for their work and use and 5% was those who said tat internet is compulsory to be available 24/7 at home. It reveals that parents now a days are very aware of the use of interne and its benefits as the knowledge tool for their kids in order to explore the world and more advancement in their knowledge.

Many of the respondent said that they communicate through email with their family and friends around the globe and they use chat engine and social media in order to make new friends those who have common interests.

Risks of internet on children:

Internet made children lazy in spite of making them smarter than before. Internet do give knowledge but kids are busier in playing video games there. If the internet is giving opportunity to get knowledge from it. It doesn’t mean that people are using it too. It is true that internet give a chance to student to learn different subjects and have access to different topics easily and free but it is not always true that they will use it. Internet give basic information and not the whole information which a child can only have through studying in school. Internet play no role in making a child active.

Children now a days are more dependent on use of internet. Smart children are those who can face challenges in different conditions with different strategies but internet just give the information and internet is doing contrary because it gave children easy ways to solve their issues instead facing them in real and with a proper strategy. When children become dependent on internet their mind become slow and dead eventually. Internet gave so many distractions and time get wasted a lot in this way.

Children cannot retain that information, no matter they have easy access to it or not. Because sometime they will feel that the information is not relevant to them. Children become lazy when they know they already have easy access to those questions so they eventually decrease in their creativity level because they are copying someone else answers and cannot make their own.

If internet is giving a lot of information, it can not prove that children are becoming smarter because of it. There are more chances to get distracted and waste time instead of learning from the internet.

On the other hand, there is also a great risk for socializing with some stranger or maybe a criminal, then internet is all the reason because of change of behavior of the children when they react or give response to their surrounding and environment. Internet establish characters inside a child.

There is another view that learning of internet depends on how they are going to use the opportunity of internet. Many of the kids are not playing outside or meeting people around them because they are now addicted to their phone or electronic devices more than the surrounding. Sometime kids do hangout with friends but they will be still busy on their phones texting and do not focus on site communication. Children are so obsessed with these new technologies that they can get angry and frustrated when they do not have access to them anymore.

Internet opened up a world to us that have so many limited opportunities and it totally changes our ways of connecting to the world around. If talking internet as learning tool, it give an amazing opportunity but there are a lot of hidden threats in it that can damage our safety and mentality of the children like a lot of games that can cause children to get addicted to them, victimization and cyber bullying cases that can cause many severe damage to the self-confidence and mental development of the child and sometime financial damage to both child and the parents.

Sexual harassment is another case that is not very much obvious and common but still have the great concern. Pornography through online chats and many other sites, exploitation, all these things can give potential damage to children. Children are the target for the fraud community. Blackmailing, stealing terrorism is greatly through the internet.

Children always have the risk to get involve in cyber bullying. Sometime people see nice on internet but deep down they are planning to use internet for harassment or to intimidate others. Attack could be in any form like name calling or maybe physical threat that parents sometimes do not even see.

Children are the invasion for their online fraud and privacy. Children are unaware and they can share pictures or any information about family or about themselves o web pages when they played games or doing any form registration. This can put them in risk and great threat because there are a lot of child predators and internet thieves around.

Parents and the caretaker are always responsible for protecting their children from al these online threats and cyber bullying. They can supervise their access to cyber space, they can teach their children for their personal safety. There is another option to install parent control software. Even schools, internet service providers, media industry and other regulatory bodies are responsible in order to ensure that children properly know abut the benefits and risks of cyber space and they should couch them with skills so that they can protect themselves.

Web filter to monitor child safety:

Web filter is a software that can screen and filter upcoming page in order to examine that whether it should display to the user or not. Filter check out the main content and its origin according to rules that are set up on it by the company or the person who initially installed it. The web filter has the ability ahs the ability to block out that page that could have involved objectional content. This program ensure that it can secure the network from all kinds of web-based threat and bugs and can decrease recreational internet surfing between the workers.

From the start of the web there is the web filter presence too and they are playing major role in protecting the children for having access to wrong content but they can not replace the importance for the involve of parents in child protection.

Parents need to decide that how they want their children to use the internet and have access to software before installing and setting the web filter in their electronic devices. They should decide before head that how they want that filter to configure. Filters are the easy way in order to keep children away from the materials and the contents that can gross them or disturb them. Normally small kids seek out for a smaller number of sites but still it is possible for them to roam around in more sites.

Children should know how to get advantage od internet as the internet in expanding a lot. In the present generation children do know about the use of internet in a good way and they understand the positive approach of the internet toward their lives. They know things like this were not available to previous generation so they can get a lot of benefits from the internet. That can increase their learning process. Children should get more inspiration and facilities to use internet by the teachers and parents to use self-learning, direct learning and comprehensive learning skills. Children can get smarter because of the internet and ca develop their ability a lot. Internet can be use in anywhere, there is access to internet everywhere. Like even a 2-year-old kid ca get a phone and have access to internet and can learn little things from it whenever they want. Children become curious and their crusty make them wander around the internet as the technology is getting more and more advanced. Internet is now a part of our lives and it will keep on growing every day. When an individual manages their own way of learning this could be termed as self-learning. After getting lesson from the internet, kid can get clarification of the lesson from the internet and YouTube because internet have everything that they want to know. But everything should be in control of the parent and they should supervise everything every day that what is going on in their child mind. Parents should have to take important measures along with having a comfortable environment with the children to know their mind and whatever they are doing o internet. So, they can couch them and train them accordingly in early age.
