PART D – INTEGRATION AND MONITORING
·
What
policies or procedures can you put in place to ensure that employees clearly
understand and follow the rules you put in place? (30 words)
For goal attainment on implementing
the new sustainable practices, it is associated with quarter bonus by the
essential training for new and old employees, weekly meetings, a checklist of
procedures as well as the assessment of the monthly result
|
·
What
incentives or rewards can you put in place for staff that will entice them to
implement solutions? (30 words)
The bonus delivered on
the quarterly basis associated with the monthly assessment for the team and
the personal goals and they all are related to the new sustainable work
practices including the party or arrangement for those employees who worked
hard and win prizes
|
·
How
will you evaluate and monitor the implementation of your plan? (50 words)
I will evaluate and
monitor the implementation of waste reduction ideas by creating checklists to
note down the performance of the employees and the progress of the
implementation. The checklists will be filled daily, weekly and monthly basis
till the completion of the project. The materials to implement the solar
panels will be counted and noted down and everything will be in the record.
The relevant information will be provided to every employee working on this
project
|
·
Detail how you would deal with each of these situations,
indicating what messages you would use or solutions you will apply to address
each situation: (Approximately
30 words per situation)
Instructions:
·
For situation (a): What message can you use to motivate
employees to check that they turn off lights after they leave the office? Apart
from an email, what methods can you use to educate employees on what they must
do ensure this doesn’t happen again.
·
For situation (b): What message can you use to motivate
employees to switch product brands? How
could you also assist them in better understanding different alternative
eco-labelled products?
·
For situation (c): What could you do to resolve this
conflict between stakeholders? How could you adapt the target setting process
to make sure that this type of conflict does not occur again?
Situation
|
Interpersonal style and
methods of communication
|
a.
|
It was found that employees
who last left the building consistently forget to put the lights out, causing
the company’s electricity use to increase.
|
|
b.
|
You are having difficulty
implementing your sustainable purchase strategy. This is because people prefer
to buy the brands they are used to. They also do not understand the
differences between different eco-labelled products.
|
|
c.
|
There appears to be conflict
between managers of two different divisions on the size of the electricity
reduction targets that were set. One division uses more electricity than the
other division and they want more authority in determining the new targets.
|
|
