The international HRM uses four different kind
of the factors or terms for describing the different approaches of MNE towards
the managing along with the staffing of different subsidiaries. Managing out
the international human resources in the different cultures, economies along
with the legal systems that also presents number of different challenges.
Different factors have been discussed individually that influence the choice of
the strategic international human resources along with the international
business strategy which approaches for an organization. (Teece, 2010)
Legal
and the political factors:
Nature and the stability of the different
political systems vary from one country to the other. Firms of US are being
accustomed towards the relatively stable political system and this is same in
many other developed countries as well like Europe. There is no doubt in it
that different presidents, prime ministers, governors and many of the
representatives may change all of the legal systems and different kind of the
global firms can solely depends upon the consistency and continuity. While in
many other different nations, all of the legal and political systems are
completely turbulent. There are some sort of the government that is completely
being overthrown by the military coups. There are others as well that are being
ruled by the despots and dictators who use all their power for requiring the
international firms to buy different goods along with the services from the
firms of host country that is being controlled or owned by the different rulers
or their families. There are different kind of the legal systems that very in

sometimes become enforceable completely due to some of the internal factors.

Factors: Same like legal system,
every country has their own economic system. There are some of them that still
cooperate with the modified version of the communism that has been failed
essentially. An example can be used here, in a country like China, communism is
one of the official economic approach. But here as the government makes an
attempt to move towards the more of a mixed model, it is using different
unemployment and layoffs for reducing the enterprising of Government. Economic
conditions are the ones that vary greatly. Cost living is one of the major economic
consideration for the global corporations.
Cultural
Factors: Cultural forces are the
ones that represent another major important concern here that affects the
international HR management. Culture of the different organizations have
already been discussed earlier and along with all these of course, national culture
is the one that also exists. The culture is being composed of the different
societal factors that affects the different beliefs, values along with the
actions of distinct group of different people. Cultural difference is the one
that certainly exists between the different nations but here the significance
cultural difference also exists within some of the countries as well. (Chu, 2019)
Power
Distancing Factor: Dimension
of this power distance refers to the inequality among the different people of a
particular nation. As the distance of power increases, there is much of the
greater status along with some of the authority differences between the
subordinates and the superiors. There is a one way in which differences towards
the dimension that affect the different HR activities is the reactions to
different management authority also differs among certain cultures.

Good international assignment is very essential
as it helps in exposing and assigning of different assignees for the
cross-cultural knowledge along with the different skills as well. It helps them
to develop new potential of the leadership and then helps in exposing towards
the new and unique ideas. Last thing that has been analyzed is that it also
helps in making employees stronger enough in the future time. International
assignment has number of different impacts along with effectiveness to some

Helps
you to be open and creative: People
will eat different food that seems to be yummy or different and people also do
certain things in some of the new ways. Openness and creativity is the one that
plays a positive role in the adjustment. Staying pretty much close to the
living quarters or getting yourself surrounded with the same expats can
limitize the exposure along with understanding of the different local cultures
in a better way. Through this one can learn much more about the host culture.
This also helps a person to get out of their comfort zone and do something
extraordinary.
Be
self-reliant: Certain
things that used to look easy or even took a little time can now become
challenging and it can take efforts for the whole day as well. It helps to get
focused on different abilities for resolving out the issues, they also learn
new and different ways to do things in an appropriate way and then learn from

Keeping
up a balanced perspective: Host
culture is not same and perfect for all and same is the case with human beings

remain patient: These
things require time and enough of the time is also being taken as well, all of
the textbook language classes are the ones that only provide a basic base from

Every place along with the every place has
their own benefits and drawbacks, they may also face some different challenges
as well and when it comes to the international assignment they also face such
challenges. Here we are going to discuss four different kind of the challenges
related to the international assignments.
Family
issues: This seems to be no
issue or challenge for the international assignments but in actual this is one
of the biggest and most occurring challenge that is being faced for the international
assignments. Employees and their partners along with their children may
encounter number of different problems or difficulties in getting adjusted to
the new country. According to one of the survey, it has been found out that 70%
of the different assignees will definitely have their partners to accompany
them and almost half of them will completely depend upon their children. So
this is the first challenge that has been found.
Language
and Cultural barriers: Culture
and language varies from one area to area. If the posting is being done on a
location with the cultural differences that are on extreme or even when they
need to communicate in any new language this can cause a problem. There are
many non-traditional families like the same sexed couples that could face the
cultural resistance along with the pressure that might make the assignment
difficult to handle for the long time period. (Conroy, 2018)
Inexperienced
employees: There are
many employees that are not experienced and this inexperience can combine up
with the different country challenges and the distractions which could
undermine all the success of this international assignment.
Health
issues and different stress: In
certain different cases, different expatriates would be overwhelmed through the
stress of living as well as working in any of the foreign country or encounter
different health problems which can’t be remedied easily. There are some of the
locations that can carry all the security and safety issues by increasing the
pressure on the expatriates along with their family to find out a way to live
up a normal life.
