Discussion on What insights do we gain from considering issues of conflict, global problems (i.e. conflicts, crisis, etc.) and development from the perspective of gender?

This study mainly focusses on the world’s agenda which has been based on gender related conflicts and development as well. first, we will talk about the theoretical perspective on gender development and conflict as well. it has been mentioned that in the end of the era of 1970 there were some of the concerns have been made with the gender relation in their development. The studies which have been made on Micro level seeks our attention to various in the entitlement, social expectations and some (Donna , 2019) of the perceived abilities of men and women’s. in this gender has been explained as the contrast to sex which enticements the attention to the social rules and interference among men and women despite from their biological differences. Although it can also be said that the role of male and female and their relations would not be changeable but they can be modified to some extent because they have been shaped by society. As well as it has also been said that they have been constructed socially.

 All type of the gender relations among men and women clearly has been taken as to be highly disadvantageous for women of any society. I this the gender perspective mainly focus on the person which sanction the development experts to evaluate various effects of programs, policies and institution which mainly deals with violent related conflict. One of the major issues which has been observed is the violence conflict and, in this regard, women has been playing variety of role and women has also been acted as to be the peace maker as well as peace keeper and career of survivor. In this it can also be said that the role of men and women in violent conflict has been as one is disempowering and the other one has empowering impacts. In this it has also been viewed that women might be hold the deficiency of power and be excepted from formal decision-making process meanwhile on the same time there might be the some of the political active on the informal level.

What advantages are there for women peace activists in emphasizing their status as women, wives, mothers, and sisters? 

Peace building as also been explore in each of the culture and society but most of the men and women’s in each society have already be involved in developing peace but their activities were different from each other. Moreover, some of the presence of women in the development of peace procedure has been obtained momentum within the policy from the last 15 years and the amount of women on the positions of decision making remain quite low. In this regard women’s have also been playing the (Inger, 2018) most active role in campaigning with their work in Women’s international league of peace and freedom which had been accomplished in 1915.

 With the passage of time women activism has been given some of the success and some of the ancient records which has been referred to those women’s who have been on the top of disarmament debates. Although women have been playing significant role while struggling for their freedom. There were some advantages has also been taken by women’s which is their way of thinking and also their contributions within the economies. It has also been observed that from many of the previous decade’s individuals have been laughed on the idea on the involvement of women’s in leadership and on the position of decision making. As well as the increasing acceptance of the significance of involving in all the sectors of community. Moreover, feminism and women empowerment hold the repute of become unfriendly with men. Now we have been overcome through these stereotypes which is vital to understand how men and women has been come up with each of the thing and can be work together.

A most famous case was Leymah Gbowee and the peace movement she led in Liberia. What are the issues for men and masculinity that are raised when we study peace activism?

As it has been known that Liberia is the country with the transference of war which is associated with peace. The women of Liberia Mass action for the campaign of peace has been immortalized through the film of pray the devil back to hell and the movie has been based in the concept of peace activism which has been started by the women of Liberia along with the objective to obtain the termination of conflicts and for the development of peace talk by making  sure about transferring parties which has been still presented on the table of peace. The government of Liberia has been taking positive steps in the reconstruction of their lives, families and societies as well.

For effective peace activism the peace process has been included in this which has now enhancingly become difficult because of the prolonged nature of armed conflict and some of the long term based political outcomes.
