Essay on the Nutrition, Lifestyle, and Beauty

Category: Physics Paper Type: Essay Writing Reference: APA Words: 1200

Physical fitness is not the sole foundation of being healthy and beautiful. In fact, being healthy means being emotionally and mentally fit. Being healthy must be an essential part of your lifestyle. After all, leading a healthy lifestyle can help in preventing long-term illnesses and chronic diseases. Taking care of your health and feeling good are important for your self-image and self-esteem. You can maintain a healthy lifestyle by doing what is adequate for your body.

Nutrition: Good nutrition is often the very first defence wall to avoid many diseases and issues including peripheral neuropathy. Therefore, the best way of preventing peripheral neuropathy is all about carefully managing medical conditions that put you at a risk. It means you should control your blood sugar level and cholesterol level.

Regardless of the fact that you have a medical condition or not, you should consume a healthy diet that is rich in lean protein, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. Additionally, you should keep a food diary for ensuring that you are aware and knowledgeable of what you are consuming, and for making sure that you get all the nutrients you require daily for staying healthy.

Most people know physical activity and good nutrition can help in maintaining a healthy weight. However, the advantages of good nutrition go beyond weight. In fact, good nutrition is capable of:

·         Reducing the risk of some specific diseases such as osteoporosis, some cancers, stroke, diabetes, and even heart disease.

·         Reducing high blood pressure

·         Increasing your energy level

·         Improving your capability of recovering from injury or illness

·         Improving your capability of fighting off illness

·         Improving your wellbeing

·         Lowering high cholesterol

What is good nutrition?

In general, good nutrition means your body gets all the minerals, vitamins, and nutrients for working its best. Hence, plan your snacks and meals to include various dense foods that are low in calories.

Following are some tips that you should consider for eating well:

·         You should eat fruit instead of consuming them in the form of juices. After all, they are rich sources of natural fibre.

·         You should consume a lot of vegetables. Although it can be quite difficult to eat vegetables, you should try to eat a variety of vegetables on a daily basis.

·         Moving on, you should consume a lot of whole grains. At least half of the pastas, crackers, breads and cereals you consume should be manufactured from whole grains.

·         If you like to drink milk then you should consider choosing fat free milk or low fat milk. These types of milk provide vitamin D and calcium for keeping your bones strong.

·         You should consume lean meats. Lean cuts of poultry and meat have fewer calories and less fat. However, they are still good protein sources.

·         You should try some other sources of protein. For starters, you should try to replace poultry and meat with tofu, beans, or fish.

Nutrition and Beauty: Nourishing your body with essential nutrients is important for a clear, glowing, and radiant skin. It is also important for healthy and strong hair. Lifestyle is important for healthy hair and optimal skin. It means you need to ensure that you get enough sleep, stimulate your detoxification systems, drink enough water, manage stress, and move your body enough throughout the day. As stated above, your diet is just as important for glowing skin and flowing hair.

In our body, our skin is the largest detoxification organ. Therefore, hormonal imbalances, dehydration, lack of sleep, digestive issues, stress, food intolerances, and inflammation are sure to pop up in our skin one way or another. It might appear like general lacklustre skin, eczema, dry skin, or acne. Healthy calories and enough energy are required by our skin for keeping it glowing, tight, and healthy.

Healthy skin thrives from minerals like protein, healthy fats, and zinc along with B vitamins. It is very important to note that nourishing our body internally will always show its effects externally. Therefore, the most important and critical thing you can do is to begin from the inside for supporting your health to gain healthy skin.

Following are the foods you must add to get enough nutrition:

Turmeric: You will be surprised to know that turmeric is a spice with effective medicinal properties because of its high amounts of anti-inflammatory compounds, antioxidants, nutrients, and phytonutrients for combatting inflammation. You should try it in turmeric tea and turmeric milk.

Spirulina: It is a green-blue alga rich in vitamins, chlorophyll, minerals, and plant-protein effective for overall health and nail health. It is quite rich in iron and protein. You should try it in green blue milk and in a smoothie.

Dark Leafy Greens: Dark leafy greens are rich in vitamin A and vitamin K that help our cells in reproducing healthy cells and retains moisture in the skin. In addition to it, dark leafy greens contain iron that is quite important with healthy oxygenation and blood flow to our skin cells. You should try it in the form of smoothie and kale salad.

Probiotics: It would not be wrong to say that probiotics are the hub of good bacteria that keeps a balance with the bad bacteria in our digestive system. It might be very helpful for people who are suffering from eczema, constipation, bacterial overgrowths, chronic gut inflammation, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and allergies. You should try it in the form of Kimchi.

Aloe: It is not the aloe that you put after a sunburn. It is the same latex and gel derived from the plan and utilised in different aloe lotions for skin. Ingestion of aloe has been determined to help in retaining water, easing digestive issues, and even reducing depression. You should add it to a juice or in water.

Maca: Maca is an adaptogenic root vegetable that is derived from the broccoli family. It is often extracted from Peru. For centuries, it has been used in South American cultures for great mineral sources that might help with a positive mood and hormonal balance. You can add it to smoothies.

We all know the more we care about our food and health on a cellular level, the more our body is able to utilise and absorb those nutrients for making us feel great, making our skin glow, and keeping our hair healthy. Some of the few nutrients that our skin and hair require include vitamins C, A, E, magnesium, fibre, healthy fats, protein, selenium, B vitamins, and zinc. Consuming a diet full of whole foods is very important but there are times when it is decent to boost your body by consuming some supplements if you do not regularly eat these beauty enhancing foods.

Actually, the key to consuming supplements is that they are just what is implied by their names – supplement to a healthy and well-rounded diet. If you are already consuming a healthy food and exercising but need an extra optimiser then you should consider the use of supplements. However, before using these supplements, you should consider taking the advice of your doctor because some vitamins might not be suitable for you in case you have some medical complications. Hence, before taking supplements, consult your doctor about it.
