The
project report is about the managing the dinner party which is about the Case
of Ahmad the liver maker. In this report the John and Julia (JJ) are going to
give the dinner party at 7.00pm on Friday evening. Their children Jessie and
Jimmy are going to get help him. In this project report first of all calculate the
estimated time for the completion of the dinner part. And also draw the network
diagram. In this project report use the PERT methodology for the activities
which is probabilistic in nature. In
this project report also determine the critical path of the network diagram and
the probability of the JJ ready at 7.00pm.
Literature of the managing the dinner party
It is vital to understand that when
any get together of family or friends is going to happen, it is always a
special occasion because normally people don’t get enough time to hang out with
each other. The dinner party is one of such occasions, which helps people to
get together in one place, and enjoy their time together. Such dinner parties
can be made unique and memorable, if certain elements are well managed. Any
gathering can be a good experience or a bad experience, because of its
arrangements. If good arrangements are made, then gathering for a dinner party
can be flawless, and if things are not properly planned, then it will be a mess
on the day of the dinner party. The first thing to keep in mind is early planning.
One has to do early planning as per the given timeline so that all relevant
tasks are done within time. If there will be no plan to follow, then tasks will
be messed up, and many important tasks will be missed. First of all, planning
should be done before one or two weeks, and then the plan should be evaluated
every now and then to make sure everything is on the right track. Look for a
proper dinner location to create a good atmosphere and then invite guests in
time, who are going to be the guests of the dinner party (Rysman, 2020)
There are various other elements to
keep in mind, which can be critical for the success or failure of the dinner
party. The success or failure means how the party was enjoyed or not enjoyed by
the participants at the dinner party. If things were messed up and arrangements
were bad, then there will be miscommunication everywhere. People will not get
proper treatment in terms of service and food. To avoid such situations, it is
critical to make sure that the dinner party is arranged with a certain purpose,
which is communicated to everyone. For instance, a business dinner party will
be arranged to capture more clients for the company. Location is a key thing in
holding a good dinner party. If the location is far away from guests or a
location is selected, which is hard to access, and then many of the guests may
not come there. So, it is vital to pick a venue, which is not only suitable for
the host, but it should also be comfortable for the guests. It is also crucial
to have a proper menu for the dinner, and all arrangements are made in time (Brookins, 2020)
Model and Methodology of the managing the dinner party
The
activities which are the probabilistic in the nature, and also apply the (PERT)
“Project Evaluation and Review Technique”. The PERT is also supposed which
activity had the duration to follow the beta distribution , for that is also
expected by time as well as variance of the activities which is determined in the
below Table;

Discussion
of the managing the dinner party
As
shown in the above two table the activities that is having a slack which is
equal to zero, these are the critical activities as well as the path which is formed
through the critical path is the critical path. And these critical activities
which cannot be delayed, and the duration of the critical path is largest
duration path and it is calculate an expected project completion time.
So the finishing of the
critical path is activity “r” as well as the EF=LF of activity r is = 160.83
Duration of critical
path is = 160.83 minutes
Variance of critical
path = Sum of variance of critical activities
At 7.00 pm the part is
scheduled as well as work would also started at 4.00pm; so there total is 3
hour and 180 hour is available
Mean completion time
minutes and standard deviation
minutes
Other Comments of
the managing the dinner party
There are no other specific comments to make regarding
the dinner project because everything has been checked and discussed as per the
given guidelines. The project will be a successful venture if things are
managed according to the plan and strategy, which has been developed before
starting the project.
Conclusion of
the managing the dinner party
Summing
up all the discussion it is concluded that, there completion duration of the
project is in 180 minutes, and there are 100% chances of completion of project
till 7.00PM. The critical path of the project is
and its Duration of critical path is = 160.83
minutes. All the requirements are fulfilled and also shown in the above table.
