Introduction of the Bullying:
These
days Bullying is not just a word but it has been rambling not just in the
society but in the schools as well and the ratio of this word is being induced
mostly in the schools. At some point in the life, there are many students as
well as the teenagers that have become the victim of this word bullying. This
word is not just causing a negative impact on schools and homes or making an
environment stressful but this bullying is also causing a great as well as
negative impact on the minds of teenagers, parents and teachers as well. (Tharp-Taylor, 2009)
Bullying
is the problem that exists in the whole world and there is not a single place
in the world where people are not well aware of this word. Yes effects do vary
from place to place, at some areas it may leave short termed effects on the
victims while at some places it may leave the short termed effects on the
victims. Bullying has been described here as one of the most aggressive
behavior which is being characterized through the repetition of the behavior
and getting imbalanced in the power as well. Coming towards the ratio of
people, we might be thinking that only small ratio of the people may get
effected by this Bullying act but in actual reality, there is not a countable
number of the ratio that is being affected because on every day basis large
amount of the youngsters are being effected by Bullying and many of us are
completely unaware.
Different kinds of Bullying
There
is not just one type of bullying when we talk about bullying as an all in all
one general topic of discussion as there are different major kinds that may
impact differently in different sectors of life especially these days when
children and adults both go through this hypersensitive issue throughout their
lives. The spread of this sensitive issue with general impact as we can never
imagine the extent to which bullying has been effecting people and how
intensively it has been critically impacting people whereas this needs to be
stopped as soon as possible with precautionary measures. There have been many
studies and researches that have been investigating about bullying since long
and from many years till now. The researchers have found that there is a broad
and much more to this sensitive topic than compared to just meeting the eye on
the aspect of bullying. Initially, it has been devised that bullying is
evitable to just one or two kinds which may include physical bullying or name
calling bullying but people are wrong at assuming it as even parents and
teachers are sometimes found to be unaware of the different kinds of bullying
that people go through these days e.g, gossping about someone’s appearance is
shattering kind of bullying and other than this, there are almost six different
types of bullying that affect people in one way or another. (Ahmed, 2005)
Another
critical thing that needs to be catered here is that not all types of bullying
are of same genre rather different types have different meanings. As predicted
by different names of bullying, they all differ in their style as well and
every kind use different style and make use of various tactics to affect the
victim and make them suffer, for instance, the kind of kids that bully other
kids are much sly about how they attack their specific target while there are
many who are simply downright mean towards other people. Getting awareness
about different kinds of bullying won’t really help parents and teachers simply
with the measures to control bullying in fact the awareness also makes them
find solutions and best possible ways on how to control them by all means and
ways to eradicate bullying and such practitioners from our lives. The purpose
of controlling the impact of bullying is mainly to eradicate it from schools
and sources where kids are mainly involved especially in the educational sector
so that students and kids can get to talk and live freely without getting
scared of anything or getting worried about anything in particular.
Some common types
of Bullying are:
Physical Bullying:
This
is the most famous kind of the bullying and mostly done by the senior on the
juniors to shower power to them and be superior in front of the juniors. Physical
bullying is the one that tends to be stronger, aggressive and bigger as
compared to the peers. Examples of this physical bullying may include hitting,
punching, kicking, slapping and many other different kind of the physical
attacks.
Verbal Bullying:
Second
most common type of the bullying that has been seen in the schools. It comes
after physical bullying. In this act, Perpetrators use different kind of the
funny names to tease the victims and to gain power. This is being used to hurt
the feelings of others to the extreme point. (Wang, 2009)
Relational
Aggression of the Bullying:
This
is a kind of bullying that is insidious and sneaky as compared to the other
ones. This also remains unnoticed by the parents and teachers and therefore
they don’t consider it that much serious and no as such actions are being done
for them to stop it. This bullying is kind of social manipulation where teens
and the tween do different acts to hurt their peers or even they try to
sabotage the social standings. The main purpose behind this bullying is to
increase the social networks by bullying or controlling the other person.
Bullying
is mainly a panic in the mind that stops an individual from doing diverse
activities and tasks. It completely impedes a person to indulge in other
activities and as an end result, such victims start losing interest from the
other activities and start getting depressed. When depression reaches at climax,
they start thinking about the desperate ideas because they think that this is
the only way to get over this thing. They don’t find a different way nor do
they want to. So sooner than it gets deep, it needs to be stopped. (Wallace, 2010)
Effects of Bullying
No
matter what sort of bullying it is, it causes psychological as well as
emotional pain and distress. The percentage of bullied kids is way more than
any other sufferer these days and apart from this, bullied kids are facing
swear fear, depression, anxiety, physical symptoms as well as they face a major
decline in their academics.
Bullied
teens and tweens feel insecure and vulnerable. All this is owed to a reason
that they think bullying can attack their houses with the help of mobile phones
or computers at any moment. They start to think that there is no single place
where they can easily getaway. Victims start feeling that perhaps bullying is ubiquitously
around them. Many cyber-bullies choose people around them whom they already
know to cause them pain. (Wolke, 2015)
Bullying
not only makes victims ill and depressed but also increases the rate of
suicide. Kids who are continuously being tormented via messages, social media
or through other outlets start feeling hopeless. Unfortunately, bullying has
not been taken as a serious thing.
Solutions of the Bullying
Bullying
can be congested and our loved ones can also come out of this state if we start
helping them and support them. One big action which needs to be taken is
raising alertness among people by trying to make this word ‘bullying’ common by
conducting different seminars. Speakers should be invited who can easily talk
on this topic and make it more interesting. Students should be well aware of
this term so that in future they don’t suffer and a big problem and can easily
go through it.
Many
young people these days don’t share what they go through from their parents.
Try to become close enough to your children so that they don’t feel any hurdle
or difficulty while sharing any kind of problem.
Lastly,
people who have been facing this problem must be recognized to be in serious
condition and they need proper concentration and care. We all should try to be
with them and help them out before it gets too late and before we lose them.
Bullying
is a problem that exists in the whole world and this may leave a short or the
long termed effects on the victims and especially on the young children. This
bullying is described as the aggressive behavior that is being characterized by
the repetition of a behavior and getting imbalance in the power. There is not
just a certain limit of the children that are getting affected but hundreds and
thousands of the children are getting affected on daily basis. This is the
behavior that is not only damaging the people that become its victim or get
involved in it but it also affect others who are not even involved in it. This
bullying should not be permitted anywhere in the school. Unfortunately,
researchers have been finding about people finishing their lives because of
bullying from so many years. There are many chances that we or even our child
may have been a part of this bullying at some stage of the life or at their
school. This bullying act has been spread on such a large scale that now it
seems almost impossible to stop it.
