Lights for Liberty was the event name and that event was based on Silent vigil for
detained children where we did hold signs boards and the banners as well as
candles just to give awareness to people for the crises of humanity that were
the United States policies had created at the borders. I did participate in
this event by holding the silent vigil.

The sponsoring organization of this
event was a non -profit organization that works actively in Texas to provide
the authentic and legal resources to detention at the border side and separated
families. The sponsoring company and organization are listed below: Americans
for democratic action lowa, LULAC council 370- Waterloo etc.

Starting from Monday July 8th
till July 12th at the location of Mulberry in Downtown Waterloo.
Purpose of Events
The main purpose of the event to
stop child abuse, detention and to give awareness, children should live their
families. We call for the end of those kind of practices in the world
immediately such as child detention and family separation.
Summarize the Content of Events
We participated in the event just
to give awareness for children rights because many children are seen in jails
or cages and detained. We did try to stop the child detention and no child will
be forced to sleep at the floors of concrete. We participated majorly to stop
the child abuse in the world such as physically, sexually or emotionally
because we have seen many children having a major damage on the body as well as
the loss of the organs such as eyes, hand or arms, legs and in some cases we
have seen children with no kidney.
Top Learnings / Take away of Events
I have learnt many things from the
event like I have to have stop child abuse and have to convey the message to
world for stopping the factors of this situation. We have to give relief
couples who are working in company so that’s why they can give precious time to
their children because children are our assets for the future world.
2 EVENT, Goodness is Stronger that Evil
The event was held in
waterloo-Cedar falls for peace and spreading love to other religions to teach
them Goodness is better and stronger that evil.

Purpose of Event
The purpose was to Spread Love and
peace in all religions and communities and formation of a circle that
demonstrates the common humanity, our values and connectedness to make a
peaceful environment.
Summary of Events
The event teach us that we should
make a strong circle of love where all people live together with their
religious views and there was no violation. The main point was the Goodness is
stronger than Evil.
Top Learning / Take Away of Events
I have learnt many things in this
event that are very useful in my business and for individual personality. If an
individual has own business but he does not deal his customers and employees in
professional and good way, he will definitely face heavy loss in market. On the
other hand, any person who try to spread love and peace around his business and
in his circle, there is eight percent chances to get love from people and his
business will grow.
3 Event, Knowing your neighbors: Sharing Sacred Seasons
This is an Islamic event that was
conducted by Cedar Valley interfaith council. The council was hosting this
event in episodic manner to give awareness about the importance of your
neighbors for the next academic year which is a called “knowing your neighbors:
Sharing sacred seasons”.

learn and teach about the holy days and holy traditions. Specially, for
learning about the Eid al-Adha, the festival of sacrifice.

Knowing your neighbors (an islamic
event) that was hosted and sponsored by the Cedar Valley interfaith council in
the Waterloo at the an in Islamic center at 4PM Sunday, September 9, 2018. The
event was held because of learning the holy
days and festivals in islaam.
Top Learning / Take Away of Events
I have learnt about Eid al-Adha, a
festival of sacrifice in islam that teach us to give away some things in our
life for humanity and for betterment in world. We should understand everyone’s
feelings and values. Almost every person belongs to every religion, so everyone
should have freedom to celebrate their festivals and holy days without any
fear. As every Muslim wants to sacrifice for happiness and serenity but there
are some religions does not allow them to sacrifice in their countries. The
proposed event major purpose was to give awareness that as they want to
celebrate their festivals, Muslim Community also want it too. If the take
lessons deeply, then we can realize that we can sacrifice in every field of our
life. If any individual perform these practices then everyone must have to
encourage them to do more. This technique is very useful to remove spaces
between persons and other religions and the threats will be decreased.
