Methodology
on Exploring the transformation of female characters in superhero movies
The research study will be based on
the phenomenological and case study-based research design to study and conclude
the real transformation of female characters in superheroes movies.
Generalization and conclusion will be based on the collected data relevant to
this research topic. The research study will use qualitative research method
for the purpose of data collection as a quantitative data collection method
cannot be selected for this research study. The research will require
information about a number of such films and female roles in these films that
is not possible through direct observation and direction interaction (that are
quantitative data collection method) with the relevant person (as female
superheroes and directors of this film). Therefore, considering this limitation
research will only present secondary information collected from all possible
authentic and academic sources including a literature review of secondary and
primary research studies. Selected sources of secondary research data include
journal articles, books written on these topics, and website articles. However,
the research study will only include data from the authentic and original
sources. No sampling and population will be segmented specifically as a
research study relates to the general transformation of female characters in
superhero movies.
The research study will mainly
focus on two kinds of variables known as dependent and independent research
variables. In this research study, the independent variable is time duration,
changes in watchers trends, and cultural changes. While on the other hand, the
dependent variable of this research study is a female character in superhero
movies. The research study will draw a conclusion and generalization by studying
the research questions. Moreover, results of this research study will be
presented and discussed in detail by aligning the research findings with the
