Human development index (HDI) of
Israel presents the HDI value of 0.903 in 2017. The gradually improving HDI
value puts Israel in the very high human development category. Currently,
Israel is ranked 22 among the 189 countries of the world. The presented below
table and graph are indicating the historical improvement in the overall HDI (Human
development index) value. Human development index (HDI) is calculated while
considering the values of life expectancy at birth, mean years of schooling,
GNI per capita in the country, and Expected years of schooling (Hdr.undp.org,
2018).

In-equality Adjusted Human Development
Index of Israel
In the in-equality adjusted human
development index, Israel is ranked as the 22nd best country in all
over the world. In-equality adjusted human development index (IHDI) value is
recorded as 0.787 in 2017. While overall loss percentage is limited to 12.8%. In-equality
in life expectancy is very low as it is limited to only 3.3%. Somehow, the
country is still working on in-equalities for better adjustment in the country.
Gradual improvement and increase in the rank by 2 is a clear indicator of
efforts and strategies carried out by the country to ensure improvement in in-equality
adjusted human development index (Hdr.undp.org, 2017).

the presented above graph, the SPI value recorded in 2018 was 82.47. While
other values of human needs, foundations of wellbeing, and opportunity areas 92.91,
88.04, and 66.47.
