Ethics and Code of Conduct
Q1. Explain three reasons ethics and integrity will be important in your
future career choice in law enforcement.
Ethics describes as the
theoretical study of morality. It is a study about what is considered to be “right”
or “wrong”, and also “good” or “bad.” Morality could be defined as how we
understand the beliefs and values of others, their perception around what is the
right and what the wrong thing is. In the other hand, integrity describes as
moral honorableness. Having the honesty quality, along with the essential moral
principles, are the most important things that all the law enforcement officers
should able to perform in doing their duties. However, it is not only law
enforcement officers who should always apply ethics and integrity. Instead,
ethics and integrity are essential for any kind of career (Fisher, 2012).
For my future career choice in
law enforcement, ethics and integrity would be important. The reasons are due
to:
·
Ethics would support me with the conscious of
vulnerable and also moral issues that would be the most considered issue in my
career.
·
The ethical application is also fundamental
since it allows the use of a critical mindset along with analyzing
capabilities, which will enable me to make a relevant and proper decision.
·
Ethics and integrity are also essential since
they would give me the foundation on which acts I have to make to sustain the
law.
Q2. Determine at least two aspects in which ethics, morality, and law
differ in regards to affecting the decisions of your local law enforcement
officers.
Two aspects in which ethics,
morality, and law differ in regards to affecting the decisions of my local law
enforcement officers are discrimination and stereotyping. In is considered to
be unethical to discriminate or stereotype contrary to any person. However,
these two aspects might differ for each state. For this reason, I will have to
recognize and completely understand about the perception of people around
discrimination and stereotype in my state, so that I could make proper
decisions as local law enforcement officer (Perez & Moore, 2012).
Q3. Recommend at least two ways law enforcement officers should use ethics,
morality, and a code of conduct in both their professional and personal lives.
Two ways law enforcement officers
should use ethics, morality, and a code of conduct in both their professional
and personal lives are (Perez & Moore, 2012):

within his or her personal and professional life. In fact, law enforcement
needs to promote ethics, morality, and a code of conduct by presenting the
ethical behavior perform.
2.
The law enforcement officer should always apply
ethics, morality, and a code of conduct for every single action. Another way to
apply them is by not discriminating any person for any case. Instead, the law
enforcement officer should be equal in giving their service to the people.
Q4. Using the law enforcement code of conduct for the state of your
choosing, identify and discuss the two most important aspects of the code as
they relate to law enforcement activities in your state.

of Florida are (Conser, Paynich, Gingerich, & Gingerich, 2013):

entire members should never perform this action since it is considered as a corruption
of the authority.
2.
The entire members of law enforcement officers
should not take part in any activity which gives negative reflect or in some
manners could create disrespect to the Florida Police Chief Association or
