This report discusses the strategic
management and change of British Gas UK. Strategic management is an activity of
the organization that can be used to have a focus on the energy, priorities,
and resources that lead to ensure the employee, strengthen the operations, and
establish the agreement of assessing and intended outcomes. The report is entirely
based on British Gas that is serving approximately twelve million homes in the
UK that makes it the biggest supplier of energy in the country, and the company
is considered as one of the large six dominated gas and electricity markets in
the UK. Furthermore, this report is based on detailed critical analysis of
strategic planning and how it can be beneficial for British Gas, critical
assessment of environmental analysis, evaluation of British Gas by using SWOT
analysis, and critical analysis of McKinney's 7’S as a change in the framework
of management. At the end of the report, recommendations are provided to have strong
strategic planning in the future direction. Last but not least, the critical
assessment of different factors defines that British gas is developing a wide
range of services for the customers. The main finding of this report is that, even
after higher price fall resulted in a more reduction in the customers but
still, the company is developing and making progress.
