1. Read Philippians 2:5-8 and briefly describe the direction Jesus’ life took.
Despite the fact that Jesus was God, he took the idea of an unassuming, faithful human hireling. This acquiescence even took him to the point of death on a cross for the salvation of mankind.
2. Read John 1:1-3. What other familiar passage in Scripture does this remind you of? The part that states "in the first place" returns me to Genesis 1. It shows that Jesus was with God since the start and all things were made through him.
3. In what ways does the textbook say that Jesus is similar to Moses and David? Like Moses and David, Jesus was an extraordinary pioneer.
4. Briefly summarize the parable of the sower from Mark 4.
A rancher plants a seed in a field, the see falls on ways and winged creatures eat it. A few seeds will fall where rocks are, so not all fall on soil. At the point when they fall on rocks, they will develop rapidly yet the sun will dry them out. There isn't sufficient soil and they will bite the dust. 5. Briefly list the three temptations of Jesus from Matthew 4. Jesus to test God, Jesus adore the world/villain, Jesus to work a supernatural occurrence to extinguish his yearning.
6. How is Jesus described in 1 Corinthians 1:24 and John 1:1? Corinthians 1:24 says Christ is the force and intelligence of God. John 1:1 says that Jesus was with God since the start
7. In the overview, Jesus is described as fully God and fully man; now briefly describe the Trinity and Jesus’ position in the Trinity. Jesus can do things that no one but God can do. Jesus peruses the expression of God and that he is acceptable and genuine.
8. Briefly describe the kingdom of God as taught in the textbook. God is the Father, Son and Holy soul. Three people, same substance. God went to the earth to spare man, and to be a case of how we should live our lives.
9. Read John 10:1-18 and briefly summarize how Jesus cares for his sheep. Jesus calls his sheep by name. He adores and thinks about the entirety of his sheep. He set out his life for his sheep.
10. Briefly summarize the context and story of the parable of the good Samaritan in Luke 10:29-37. A man was originating from Jericho to Jerusalem. He was ransacked of everything even his attire. He was beaten and left for dead. A cleric saw him and continued strolling. Levite saw him and continued strolling. A Samaritan saw him and took him in, cleaned his injuries and took him to a motel.
11. According to the overview, what is the atonement, and where in the Old Testament is this referred to in prophecy seven times? Jesus bore the transgressions of the world on the cross. This was the compromise of mankind with God through the enduring demise of Christ.
12. What does the incarnation refer to? It is the point at which the unceasing Son of God got joined to the man Jesus Christ.
13. According to the overview, what three reasons are stated in Scripture for why God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ? To give Christians a guide to follow, to show us the picture of God, to fix our transgressions
14. Read 1 Corinthians 1:18-25. What is the Apostle Paul referring to when he says at the end, “the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men”? God knows all and can't be separated. He isn't powerless or absurd. He is great.
