Project After you had selected the country Brazil (developed and developing countries), you should have the following parts in your report: 1. Introduction - 25 pointes A. Geographic / historical characteristics of the countries – geographical location, land size, population size, cultural characteristics, historical bunch marks, stage of development, official holidays and more. B. Political characteristics – type of government, laws that govern the country – employment, foreign investment, income tax, entry to the country, marketing and advertising, union laws, bilateral and multi lateral agreements, zoning policies, legal system and more C. Economic characteristics – type of economic system, stage of development, domestic resources, import / export, GDP, inflation rate, saving rate, and more. D. Education characteristics – types of educational system, literacy rates, female / male ratios of educated population, language studies and more E. Health characteristics – hospital beds, accesses to health services, death rates, immunization requirements, epidemics and more. F. Infra / supper structure characteristics – stage of development, number of airport, sea port, road development, transportation development: air, rail, bus, service stations, parking and more G. Travel and Tourism policies - Identify the existence or lack of tourism policy. Describe the policy if it exists and the state of the current condition of the travel and tourism industry. 2. Analysis of the information – 25 points A. Based on the information you had found determine the stage of development of the country. B. Establish relationships between the different variables you had researched and the NEEDS of the countries. Needs should be identified in each of the categories mentioned above. C. Establish relationship between the “needs” you had identified and the CURRENT conditions of the state of Tourism in the different countries. 3. Recommendations: 25 points A. Develop a set of recommendations for each of the topics you had research in section 1: A – F. B. Each of the topics has to be treated on its own merit. All recommendations have to be created in order to help your countries of choice, achieving a better economic and development positions. 4. Recommendations for Tourism Policy: 25 points A. Develop a set of recommendations for travel and tourism development in your countries. The goal is to create an environment that will foster a growth of this industry in each of countries of your choice. B. You should include in your recommendations : 1. Development rules 2. Foreign investment rules for the industry 3. Marketing development 4. Political recommendation that will foster development of the industry 5. Government funding of tourism 6. Infra / supper structure development 7. Zoning laws 8. Currency exchange laws 9. Customs and immigration policy 10. Environmental rules And more….. ...
