Covering the Critical Components

As you have probably discovered by now, thinking about/analyzing a Digital Transformation system implementation problem isn't easy. There are a lot of moving parts to consider.

The Assignment:

At this point you should have completed your general topic research and updated your outline. From the ongoing in class discussions you may have found that you have missed some important points in the Analysis. This assignment is designed as a 'just-in-time' intervention to make sure several of the often missed elements of The Case are considered.

1) First Page: Your Case Sections/Sub-sections [This is your final 'Revised Outline']- Submit an updated Outline with topical headings and subheadings as required. Remember, written documents are generally broken into sections (with informational headers) to make them easier to read and understand. You should follow this suggestion:

Executive Summary (skip this time)

Intro/Thesis

2) Second/Third Page: (Use these headers for the three required paragraphs.)

a. Benefits: Typically, major benefits are vendor independent and should always be in the Process section. List two major quantified benefits for each major Process/function. Provide a link to the souse of your data.

b. Data: What major data components, sources and repository elements must be considered?

c. Infrastructure: Provide infrastructure diagrams for HQ, Warehouse, Regional Offices, and remote field sales people. The elements must support the processes. [Note: Cut and paste diagrams from the Web = '0' points. Infrastructure diagrams are always specific to the digital Transformation system. Note: This exercise will make sure you will appropriately cover this topic in your budget section.]
