Kingdom Animalia – Invertebrates I The purpose of this lab is to investigate invertebrates with simple body plans in a coral reef habitat. You will examine how sponges, cniderians, flatworms and roundworms obtain food. You will go to the following website: http://www.glencoe.com/sites/common_assets/science/virtual_labs/LS13/LS13.html You will follow the instructions and work through the simulation as instructed in the lab. You will answer questions concerning the organism classification on this worksheet that will then be uploaded into ecampus for grading. As you perform the simulation, record your results in the chart/table below indicating the name of the organism and its type of feeding: predator, scavenger, filter-feeder, or parasite. Do not leave any part of the chart/table blank. You will need to do some research on each organism to determine their feeding type. Note: the same video plays for all of them. Once you have completed the lab simulations and chart, you will answer the remaining journal questions below. Please answer all questions in another color font (including the chart).
