Independent Project 4-4 For this project, you modify a document about maximum and target heart rate for the American River Cycling Club. You arrange text in a table and insert and modify SmartArt and clip art.

1. Open the VaccinationSchedule-04 start file.
NOTE: If the document opens in Protected View, click the Enable Editing button in the Message
Bar at the top of the document so you can modify it.
2. The file will be renamed automatically to include your name. Change the file name if directed to do
so by your instructor, and save it.
3. Convert the tabbed text in the middle of the document to a table.
4. Select the entire table and make the following changes:
a. Select Banded Rows in the Table Style Options group [Table Tools Design tab] and deselect all
other check boxes.
b. Apply the List Table 1 Light – Accent 2 table style.
c. Change the font size to 10 pt.
d. Choose AutoFit Window.
e. Change row height to 0.25".
f. Center all text vertically within each cell (Hint: Use the Cell tab in the Table Properties dialog box).
g. Sort the table in ascending order by Name of Vaccine. Be sure to select Header row in the My list
has area of the Sort dialog box.
5. Make the following changes to the table:
a. Insert a row above the first row.
b. Merge the three cells in the new first row and type RECOMMENDED VACCINATION SCHEDULE
NOTE: Enter the text in uppercase letters, do not apply All caps formatting.
c. Bold and center the first row.
d. Bold and italicize the second row.
e. On the first row, apply a black (Automatic), 1 ½ pt. top and bottom border.
f. On the second row, apply a black (Automatic), 1 ½ pt. bottom border.
g. On the last row, apply a black (Automatic), 1 ½ pt. bottom border.
h. Horizontally center the column headings and the text in the third column.

6. Insert the following information alphabetically into the table. Insert rows where needed.
7. Modify the title of the document (“Vaccination Schedule”).
a. Apply Title style to the title of the document.
b. Change the After paragraph spacing to 8 pt.
c. Center the title horizontally.
d. Apply small caps and bold formatting to the title.
8. Insert the CMPLogo-04 picture downloaded from the Resources link, in the upper left of the document.
Do not place the picture inside the header area.
NOTE: Download the resource file(s) needed for this project from the Resources link. Make sure to
extract the file(s) after downloading the resources zipped folder
a. Change text wrapping to Top and Bottom.
b. Change the height of the logo to 1". Make sure that the logo remains proportional.
c. Apply the Offset Diagonal Bottom Right shadow picture effect.
d. Set the horizontal and vertical absolute position at 0.2" to the right of and
below page.
9. Insert clip art and add a caption.
a. Search for vaccination in Office.com Clip Art.
b. Insert the clip art displayed in Figure 4-110. If this clip art is not available,
insert the Vaccination-04 picture, downloaded from the Resources link.
c. Change the text wrapping to Square.
d. Change the height of the clip art to 1.3". Make sure the graphic remains
proportional.
e. Position the clip art so it is to the right of the
first and second paragraphs.
f. Add Don’t neglect your vaccinations! as
the caption.
g. Center the caption text, change the font
color to Red, Accent 2, and turn off italics if it
is applied to the text.
h. Adjust the size of the caption text box as
needed.
i. Select the caption and the clip art and Align
Center.
j. Group the caption and the clip art.
k. Position the grouped graphic to the right of
the first and second paragraphs
approximately 0.5" from the right edge of the
document and adjust vertically so it does not
interfere with the title alignment or the table.
10. Save and close the document (Figure 4-111).
11. Upload and save your project file.
12. Submit your project.
