According to Reisman (2015), different studies have indicated that rates of the uninsured have significantly decreased in the country due to the Affordable Care Act (ACA). As the opinion of the Americans’ on the reform of health care increases over time, the law continues to be disruptive politically. The patient protection and affordable care act are called the ACA, which was passed without the support of the dual-party. Mendelson (2010) states that there are three reform phases in the ACA, which includes the reduction of payment that led to the lower profit margins that the organizations involved will endure. The other reform stage is the federal government’s effort to shift the risk to the providers from the government, which is moving on so quickly. The final step is the expansion of coverage, but the reform will keep on being modified over time (Mendelson, 2010).

Apart from the political association, people were anxious about the government competing and the effects of the government on the interest they have on the issue. This is no different from the health department. The main aim of the legislators is to be elected again, and they increase their chances of being supported politically. They are mostly known to be lucid and make profitable decisions when they get legislative demands. Unfortunately, their profits calculations are not the profits obtained by the community for electing or passing specific legislation. The profits are otherwise used to support the legislator politically, but when the profits are more than their costs, they tend to fund the regulation (Feldstein, 2006).

Political choices are influenced by the voter, which in the end, results in the changes in the Medicare plans. The Medicaid changes will bring an effect to the insurance and costs of the low-income earners that will depend on the response towards the organization of finance on the American Health Care Act (AHCA). Federal funds will be limited by the AHCA in the states that have passed to enlarge the Medicaid, canceling the ACA’s plans of expansion. The effect of the coverage or insurance for the adults will bring about an undulation effect on Medicare. This will end up increasing Medicare and cost-sharing also (Neuman et al., 2017).
