13:09 Alex: Hi Randy
13:10 Randy: Hi, Alex. Sorry for the delay. Coursespaces is so slow and won't load at times.
13:10 Randy: Let me just get your Consultation info out
13:10 Alex: No worries, thanks for meeting me.
13:11 Alex: Of course, thanks
13:12 Randy: So, your research question(s) is this:
13:12 Randy: eating disorders influence the mental and physical Development of students ? What are their long term consequences?
13:13 Alex: yes
13:14 Alex: so there are various types of eating disorder
13:14 Randy: There are a number of different eating disorders, each cause different physical issues and problems.
13:14 Randy: How would be able to discuss them all?
13:15 Randy: How would you, that is, be able to discuss them all?
13:16 Alex: sometimes they may have similar influences
13:16 Alex: do you think that I should focus on just one instead of the general eating disorder?
13:17 Randy: You could do, say two or three in detail. Maybe the most common.
13:18 Randy: You have both under-eating and over-eating disorders
13:18 Alex: I think even though eating disorder influences individuals differently, I think there should be some general problems as well
13:19 Alex: the eating disorder in general affects individuals weight for example
13:19 Randy: How would you frame your argument?
13:21 Randy: Are there any people or groups who argue that there are no long term health problems?
13:22 Alex: hmm, I think you are right. the argument I have right now is too broad, I should narrow it down to one or two types of eating disorder.
13:23 Alex: I don't think so, there are long term consequences.
13:23 Alex: I haven't got I chance to look if there is anyone who states that there aren't long term consequences
13:24 Randy: Also, are the long term health problems in dispute? If everyone agrees that that there are long-term health problem, due to the amount of research that has been done on eating disorders, who would you persuade with the arguement?
13:24 Alex: I think most of them agrees that it has long term problem
13:25 Randy: I agree. So we need to find an area in this topic that has a bit of controversy.
13:25 Alex: oh I see
13:26 Randy: I assume that you believe that long-term healthy problems occur due to eating disorders, yes?
13:26 Alex: in my annotation, there is one type of eating disorder, I think is controversy.
13:26 Alex: yes
13:26 Randy: Great! What is it?
13:27 Alex: it's orthorexia nervosa, so basically it's an obsession with eating healthy foods
13:27 Randy: Interesting!
13:27 Randy: I haven't even heard of that one.
13:27 Randy: What is the controversy?
13:27 Alex: not only healthy foods but healthy diets as well
13:29 Alex: everyone nowadays thinks that we should eat more health
