Layla knows that she must be very passionate about this field in order for her to excel. Layla is fresh out of Highschool and will be explaining the process if this job. She knows that the health field gets very rough, it’s not for the weak. Its also not a difficult job, it’s what one makes of it. Today Layla herself will explain the process of becoming A Certified nurse’s assistant.

First, the person wants to find themselves a 3–4-week course that’ll give hands on experience and the book knowledge that’ll help someone pass the state boards. They must have a high school diploma or GED to complete this course.

After completion of the course, they’ll graduate. Its best to take the state boards while the information is fresh. The longer they wait they’ll have to take a refresher course which could extend their wait for the state active registration.

When passing the state boards and becoming registered they’ll want to create a very detailed resume. Create a cover letter if can. Use reference letters from instructors if they have any. Provide proof of school transcripts. This is good to do when they have no experience. Indeed is the best source to use when job searching.

With acceptance of the job comes the interview. Dress casual have all of the documents presented in step 3, with a high school diploma and certification from the state and school. Also, be up to date on medical shots and provide the record to the interviewer.

Once you begin the shift the client may need max to minimum help. The job would consist of light housekeeping, washing clothes, helping shower, helping put on clothes if mobility isn’t strong enough to help self. Grocery shopping, cooking, running errands, and running to appointments. Sometimes the client will require bare minimum such as companionship Alzheimer’s residents require 24hour care of companionship only so they’re safe at all times.

Since graduation Layla is able to explain the process of this job with ease. Layla has been in the field herself for two years since she graduated, she states would do the process all over again when it pertains to taking care of others. She’s very passionate about this field. She hopes that this detailed process could help others in school, or others that are new in the field.
