1.) Tubb, B. (1999, March 14). Music from World War I (1914-1918). Retrieved July 15, 2015. Retrieved from http://www.pdmusic.org/1900s.html
This source is going to be used in my report to retrieve lyrics and song titles. It is a great resource for identifying the year and artist for the required music aspect of my report. I plan on using two to three songs from this list to add to the depth and context of my report.
2.) Baker, E., D. Drake, I. Ahmed, and J. Moore. "To Die For: 25 Flawless Songs About Death". Complex. N.p., 13 Feb. 2013. Web. Retrieved 17 July 2015. Retrieved from http://www.complex.com/music/2013/02/to-die-for-25-flawless-songs-about-death/
This site is a reference for modern song (Hip-Hop and other Genres). It will strengthen and further develop my explanation as to how death has continued to be a part of song.
3.) Pablo Picasso and his paintings. (2009). Retrieved July 15, 2015. Retrieved from http://www.pablopicasso.org/
Originally attempted to access the French version of the official site, but it had errors while loading and some pages had no information. This site has a Picasso biography section that I will use to gather information on his Blue Period to reference his sadness and mourning of his friend Carlos Casagernas. Picasso’s Blue Period began there after Carlos committed suicide
4.) Ensor, an 'artist's artist' (2011). Retrieved July 17, 2015. Retrieved from http://jamesensor.vlaamsekunstcollectie.be/
This website will be used to research the life and works of James Ensor. In particular a sketch he drew of a bird with a human skull for a head that was flapping its wings and hovering over a group of people.
