Collectivist culture affects the structure of the organization by influencing the leadership hierarchy. Ethical leadership comprises transparency which enables ethics to be discussed frequently in the organization. Moreover, corporate culture enables leaders and employees to share similar visions and objectives for the company.
The way managers run the business affects the rules set for workers. The philosophies of different leaders are followed by employees in different organizations and they result in the end way of performing actions. Moreover, the values of the manager influence the policies set in the company. Leaders who treat employees with dignity and respect results to a team of workers which provides quality customer care services. The recruitment and selection procedure has a significant effect on the organization culture. The type of workers recruited by the organization during its growth stage affects its culture. When the organization selects the right employees, it develops a conducive culture which creates its reputation. Ethical culture creates an ethical leadership which enforces policies and viewpoints in an organization. Ethical leaders influence the conduct of employees thus preventing them from using their personal codes of morals when performing different tasks (Ferrell & Fraedrich, 2019).
The Influence of Hierarchical Culture on Chain of Command in a Company’s Structure
Strong hierarchical cultural value affects the chain of command I the company structure significantly. Ethical leadership behavior is influenced by the values and norms followed by the organization. Corporate culture has a direct impact on employees and organization staff and results in higher employees’ satisfaction and commitment. Ethical leaders create a participative organizational culture and they view employee collaboration as an important resource in the organization. They encourage team spirit thus gaining a competitive advantage over other organizations. Hierarchical culture affects the relationship between leaders and employees. The leadership style adopted in an organization is determined by the culture in the specific organization. Ethical leaders create a participative culture where all employees’ abilities are considered equally important. These leaders also communicate effectively to the employees thus enabling proper execution of duties at different levels of the organization.
