Greetings Rahmond,

This was a great informative post. Facebook is the number one social media platform out at this time. As you mentioned in your post, people use Facebook to stay connected with friends and family, as well as utilize it to help build a platform for a brand or product. I definitely agree with that statement. I personally use Facebook to stay connected with friends and family, to get insight to what is currently going on in the world, and lastly to promote my nail business so that I can continue to get more clientele. 

I like the examples that you gave on the different ways that people tend to misuse Facebook. People often tend to think that bullying is the only way to misuse social platforms, but we often forget that pornography is a form of misuse as well. Just because people enjoy watching or looking at it doesn’t mean it isn’t a form of misuse. You also mentioned that teens should have their social media censored so they are protected from viewing certain things on Facebook. In my opinion this may work for some teenagers, but others may just change their date of birth or age to make themselves older. I think parents should be more involved and paying close attention to what their children are doing online. Not only should teens Facebook be censored, it should also be connected to an adult account so that it can be monitored regularly. Facebook can be very beneficial, but it can also be harmful. If people will work together to report all the negative things on the platform as well as monitor their children, the purpose of Facebook may come back to light and could be very fulfilling.
