Assessment details
You are asked to respond to a major disruption in your project plans. You will receive communication about urgent news at the start of Week 6 (Immediately after the due date of assessment task 2, which is on Sunday, Week 5). Make sure you read the communication carefully, then complete this assessment. Your tutor will inform you when this ‘communication document’ is ready.
Format This assessment consists of two sections. First, prepare presentation slides and then record your video/audio narration. Use Loom to record your presentation and generate a link to your recording/s; copy the link of the recording onto page 1 of the presentation slides. You will only need to upload to Canvas one presentation slide file to submit this assessment.
Part A: Change control (what will you do?)
Prepare a 5-minute (+/- 10%) video/audio recording where you respond to your client who is also your senior manager. Reassure your client that you can still achieve the project goals within time, scope and resources. You will need to explain how you plan to do this.
Submit your presentation via the Assessment 3 submission link on Canvas. Your submission will be assessed on:
• your demonstrated understanding of the issues raised, • the problem areas (which you identify, evaluate and select), • how effectively this information is communicated. • You should also make sure you keep within the constraints of the project, with
any impacts identified and communicated clearly, succinctly and convincingly. Part B: Change control (what will you do?)
Record an additional video/ audio recording (2-3 minute) where you reflect on the experience you had with dealing with the client (senior manager) and the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager, as well as any other potential stakeholders directly or indirectly involved in the project. How did you overcome disagreements across your team?
Read over the assessment 3 rubric carefully before you submit this assignment.
Recording suggestions:
• Use Loom (hppts://www.useloom.com) to record your video. • You do not need to use your webcam for this task. However, it is important your voice
can be heard clear and loud. • If you have any difficulties using Loom, please speak with your tutor.
